Process
A solid paper from APP Cosmopolis (rotated 90º) was used as the foundation of the page. The image was extracted. Because I used a downloaded image from Instagram the resolution was poor when enlarged. A blur was added to hide the distortion. The image was duplicated three more times. The bottom 2 layers were changed to black and white (normal blending mode), the blending modes of the top two color layers were changed to screen and soft light (reduced opacity). A new blank layer was added and using a hard brush the area of the hat was colored in red (blending mode changed to soft light). A custom shadow was added for depth. New York City 1 brush_10 was stamped onto the page (blending mode changed to soft light), then duplicated. Transfers from the APP Cosmopolis and Scholarly Kits, Artsy Transfers Cosmopolis and a paper texture were added (a variety of blending modes were applied). The page was completed by adding word art and dimensional embellishments.
