AnnaLift: Digital Pottery

It took more than five days and the fractal still had some tiny imperfections. Meanwhile, I stopped it and saved a snapshot every day while it continued, and put up with incredible inconvenience in file explorer 's file access times and the laptop got hot. This was the most intensive test I've done with XDX.

I always love Helene's work. I liked the photos stacked to the side and copied the idea of pottery, but in the end I passed on my dragonfly idea and more views of the pots.

I let my digital pottery ‘bake’ for 445,046 seconds, which is 5 days & 4 hours. It still wasn’t flawless, but good enough. Then I played with all of the choices of finishing and a few of the lighting possibilities until Nancy put up the design challenge I so depended on to design my page. I could have played with the color texture & lighting for hours otherwise.

I'm not sure I understand all this, but it seems amazing! Love that you work the challenges so diligently - I know they really help me come up with new things. Background and photos all really cool!

Awesome! The digital pottery has a metallic sheen! Your program sounds difficult, but your designs are beautiful!

This is sleek. No idea how you got there--the vocab is foreign to me--but I'm loving the results!

That's a long run time. Must take a lot of memory. Beautiful result, though. Looks rather hypnotic.

Love the digital pottery and sheen! Sounds much more complicated than the old fashion clay pottery.

Actually, having a BFF who's a pottery teacher, I'd say it takes about the same amount of training and expertise, but my "work" after a few minutes of deciding & setup is I just need to wait and sacrifice some of my computer CPU. It can't hold water, but no cleanup and no clutter, just a micro SD chip to save it on. :D

I've never heard of digital pottery! Very interesting! Another great 2-pager for you!
Virtual pottery? Same, maybe a more common term for all things created from wireframes and fractals? But I'm not sure. I meant it to be a little oddity. :D
