All About Me Day 9 "Earliest Memories"

When I did the first page of "earliest memories" I realized there are a lot more stories I needed to tell, and I even have a few photos of me to support them - the stories are more about the house, yard and neighborhood, but these things are all important since the house is gone and the neighborhood is greatly changed. A bit of a rabbit hole!
Once again, I know you cannot read these stories, but I have enjoyed writing them.

I used Page 9 from Wordy Template, which has frames across the top and multiple columns of journaling, just duplicating to spread across the page. I added my own Deckle Frames to the photos since this is how the original photos appear (I think they are polaroids, but not sure).
Reused my ArtPlay Remember background from the first Remember page, adding Love Letters and Old World transfers for more pink colors.
Then wrote, wrote, wrote (I need another page to talk about the unique insides of Grandma's house) and just added a few embellishments in a visual triangle.

I have a photo of me in an almost identical hat and dress--Sunday best. For me writing the stories serves as a form of therapy--I have an album of childhood photos, mostly recording my memories of the family dynamic, and I still add to it as memories surface or surprise relatives find me through their geneology searches.

You did what I thought about doing but hesitated: you wrote down dozens of memories. That's really why we scrap, isn't it? I love your array of photos and especially the buttons and threads that give the page a delightfully nostalgic mood. Beautifully done!

When I first glanced at this in the gallery, I thought I saw me in these photos. haha They remind me so much of some Easter dresses my mom made my sister and me. We may have been twinning, if we lived nearby. haha Wonderfully scrapped with all those unique and special memories for you. Beautiful.

It's funny I've had the same reaction at times - oh that photo could be me! My Mom did sew, she made dozens of Barbie clothes, but I don't think she made these, which makes me curious as to where they came from. I have no memories of shopping :)

I could read some of these stories. You remember a lot of details. Love love the scalloped frames and the wonderful flow of the pages. Darling photos of little you.
