The background was created using three paper layers. The bottom layer, with a Blend Mode of Normal, is a dark blue/brown paper. The middle paper is a gesso and brown paper with a blend mode of Hard Light and the top layer is a green paper with scribbles and the blend mode is set to Color Burn. I've used the Undlerying Layer slider to make the fonts look a little more like they are actually written on the page. For the large "worry" on the upper right-hand side, I've added a slight Inner Bevel and added a Grass Pattern to the font to create a more realistic paint look.
