We are registered in the parish, St. James & it’s sure a big one. I guess there is a shortage of Catholic churches & schools in the country. There is a big drive on now in this area for money for more schools. They have a beautiful adult choir that I’d like to join soon. I’m afraid I’m not very enthused about going to work if we can get along without it.

Also I joined a bride group (2 tables) in the neighborhood. I can’t say I go to play bridge cause none of them know much about playing bridge but it’s a change to get out of the house every week. Next week it’s my turn. I’d go crazy if I didn’t have something to look forward to.

Gee I think it’s real wonderful about you losing so much weight. Last week I started to diet too & exercise with Jack LaLanne on TV. He’s quite a character. So far I’ve lost 6 lbs & want to lose about 20 more. Hope I can, I know I’d feel better especially with these hot summers I understand they have around here.

I guess we’ll be going up to spend Easter in Scarsdale. Jack has put in for a 4 day leave. It’s a 5 hr. drive so plan to spend two nights up there. I hate to pack suitcases again so soon but haven’t much choice.

By the way, Jack’s mother gave me some clothes for Jimmy & Danny. They are mostly winter clothes but will try to get them mailed soon. I can get you some Club pot handles if you’ll tell me what size you need. There are two sizes. 75¢ each. Anything special I can get for Mark?

Now that I have my Virginia drivers license, I have been doing a little shopping.
