Process
Artsy paper 3 from APP Embers was used as the foundation of the page. The photo was clipped to a fotoblendz mask, duplicated with the blending mode changed to screen (reduced opacity). Transfers from AT Latieritious 1 and 3 were added with the blending modes changed to darken (AT Latieritous_1) and soft light (AT Latieritous_3) to add texture and depth. From the new kit, an edge overlay, splatters, copper paint were layered on the page. A composite image was created and the blending mode was changed to soft light. On the composite image, word art and dimensional embellishments were added.
Oh, wow. Beautiful. The grand canyon is so inspiring and you have captured the rugged beauty in the twisted pine. Love the colors and your background and how everything blends so nicely.
The colors here are fantastic. I wish I had better images of the Grand Canyon in my head...I remember the mornings fondly, and our bike ride, but many of my memories are cluttered with the surging crowds and people hopping the guard rails for selfies on the canyon edges. A good excuse to re-visit one day!
