A Leg Up

One of those last glorious fall days--the air was crisp, the sun shinning and dew coated the fairways and greens with sparkling diamonds.
A quick slip and I was down--eventually to find my ankle was broken in 3 places and would require surgery, plates and screws and no weight bearing for 6 weeks thereafter.
Prior to surgery foot must be elevated to help bring the swelling and fracture blisters down.
A high price to pay for a game of golf--but I'll be back on the links when I am able.

OOh that's bad! Hope it is a bit better already! Beautiful page! Love the background you created for the photo!

The leafy bird is wonderful. What a terrible wreck and price to pay for that little sparkle of icy moisture on the grass. I hope it's quick healing, but even simple sprained ankles don't heal that fast for me. Sorry you have to go through this. It totally sucks!

Well I am so sorry for your misfortune. Listen to the Drs advice and there is still time for another round soon. Lovely page,.though

Ohhh dear! It appears it is wrapped super well for good healing. Wishing you a speedy recovery. Always love your creative layouts and you've excelled at this one, in spite of your ankle. Take care!!

Oh my so sorry to hear this! Why is it women fall?? (Had a few myself, only 1 little broken toe so far though). Hope you are back to scoring birdies soon ;-) very cute page!

Oh dear, Helene, how frustrating and painful! You've documented the circumstances with amazing creativity...especially appreciate the screws and flag! Hoping your art can provide a refuge as you wait and recover. Hugs.

Oh... so sorry about your ankle - hope you heal quickly.
Love that you included the hole flag but what a way to have the golf game to come to an end.

So sorry to hear about your fall! Hope surgery goes well and you heal quickly! Great photo to document the incident! Spring is just around the corner and you'll be back on the greens!

Oh no, Helene! So sorry. (My 30 some athletic nephew broke his leg after chasing his dog in the park last year with a thin coat of ice he didn't see in Denver) Hope the New Year finds you are mostly healed! Supposed to be a bad winter in OH, stay inside!
