This time the name of the palette gave me an idea of what picture to post. So I went searching in my heritage LR catalog. I choose two school pictures.
Process: I started with Artsy Layered Template 205. I added two photos to the frames. Then I turned off the other layers. I added Solid Paper 3 to my page. Next, I wanted to add my selection of transfers to the page. I added Transfer 11 behind the pictures, Transfer 3 lined up on the bottom edge and below, transfer 7 under the photos but showing to the left of them, and last transfer 5 to the left of transfer 7. I felt this created a line of white up to the photos and then towards the left edge. To complete this white line I placed NoteBook2.7 on the left side but used Edit>Fill>white. Then on top of that, I put NoteBook2.11.
Now for some elements, I placed MultiMediaSchool 1.2 just a bit under the photos and pointing to the left. I selected the layer to the cluster that was the leaves then clicking on one layer of the framed picture at a time, erased away the area that the leaf covered so that the leaf no looked to be over the photo. I used the warp to bring the shadow of that one leaf more to the right. To be sure the shadow showed I did the same thing with the shadow that I have done with the leaf.
Then I added the butterfly to the page and copied it twice using Ctrl J. I arranged them to circle the photos. Then I added a Solid Color Adjustment to two of the butterflies one with the color green and one with blue. I reduced the opacity of these adjustment layers until they added just a pale color to the butterflies. I used a stain brush from the kit to add blue and green below the leaves extending into the pale blue of the background paper.
Then a bit of text and word art for the title and I thought I finished but the black and white photos caught my attention. So I duplicated each photo with Ctrl J and then used Ctrl U and check Colorize and made one blue and one green. I set the duplicated photos to the Soft Light Blend Mode and reduced the opacity. The color was just noticeable and seemed to pop more. I like to leave my page open on the computer so I can keep returning to see if I want to change anything.
