i have so many photos and stories from Lisbon it was really hard to get started, so I started with initial impressions.

I hardly know where to start, there was so much to love about Lisbon, and we probably only scratched the surface. There was our wonderful apartment hosted by Mr. Luis with the fabulous views (the reward of climbing up 3 ladder-like staircases multiple times per day), great breakfasts, and the bathroom behind the tiny locker door. There were the hills, the TILES with the lovely name Azulejo, the patterned COBBLESTONES, the cork products, the street cars, the inexpensive food, the sweet pastel de nata pastries, the friendly people. We were worn out after the Sicily tour and longing for home, but Lisbon was like a delightful breath of fresh air. April 3-9, 2019
