I layered a few background papers together using an inverted mask to brush bits of paper overtop of the background. I created two masks with brushes to copy two photos to and then applied an adjustment layer overtop and changed the blending mode, then duplicated the blending mode, created an inverted mask and brushed it overtop the birds in both photos to accentuate the contrast and color of them.
