Bonsai and Mushrooms

This time I was inspired by martine 29's page of champignons https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=437067&title=champignons-&cat=1351
Photos are from Portland Japanese Garden, where we are going every week to try to catch peak fall color...didn't happen this week but we got to enjoy the bonsai and some unexpected delight in tiny bright mushrooms.

I used the same Recipe Template page on both side, dragging in all layers and adjusting the size to fit within my guidelines. Then I clipped my photos to the masks. Next I searched for background, going through several ArtPlay Palettes before arriving at Prismatic. Multiple copies of 3 different Papers formed the background, adjusting locations and using Masks and the Eraser Tool to get things just where I wanted. Then I added some Brushwork to the background (I generally just drag in the .psd files then Edit>Fill and choose a color from the page).
Finished with Word Art, Embellishments and journaling. Note the Color Adjustment layer on the Hinterland mushroom to make it red/orange :)
Gorgeous photos! Love the colorful mushrooms! Wonderful blending of the background papers!

Great photos and balanced nicely in the template, and I'm loving how you're using the recipe pages for your layouts. Now I just need some photos of something besides a rain of ash, smoke, and red orange sun.

Wow, that template works so well for these photos! I could use some regularly scheduled programming in a Japanese garden right about now...unfortunately, ours has been long shuttered because of Covid.
