'Fun'

Journaling: Fun. Our ski day about 3 weeks later than usual. While we broke record lows here in Denver the mountains got 16 inches of fresh powder. The first run of the season is always a bit dodgy with the kids. They have to adjust to the subzero temperatures. It was -10F at the base of the mountain when we arrived. And adjust to new gear. I on the other hand got to try out my new skis which certainly make those turn and moguls a lot easier to navigate. Ella ended up not feeling so well in the afternoon so we went ahead without her skiing much later than usual. The sun shone, it got warm enough to unzip our jackets at one point and made the impromptu plan to get some famous Beaujos pizza on the way home. Looking forward to a lot more of these ski days in the days and weeks to come.
