A Better Tomorrow

This is for the October 19th Designer Spotlight challenge.
This week combine TWO of my FAVORITE designers; Chris and HelenH.
How fun was this! It was hard to just stick with two.
Anyhow, First I took the design of Chris' "I Owe You" and used Helen's overlay technique from "Golden Days"
(one of many)
And this is what I came up with:

Such terrible days these last few weeks I wanted to
do a page in memory of those that have passed and
those still struggling....

In the last few weeks Leslie lost her husband and
Don lost his Mom.. Scott, Kevin and Pete are still
looking for work. And worst of all Julies cancer has
returned. In such sad and uncertain times I remind
myself of a quote by Maya Angelou;
No matter what happens,
or how bad it seems today,
life does go on, and it will be better tomorrow
Maya Angelou
