This months AJ Fortitude took forever. SO many ideas running through my mind. I finally settled on the fortitude I had to have when my dad passed and I had to deal with a lot of nasty people. Really had to stand on my rock, my Lord to get through that time. I used A Magical Spring, Gratitude, and Lake Memories to create this layout.
Journaling: (down left side) You asked for permission to stop fighting medically.
You never asked me if my shoulders were big enough to carry the hurt comments thrown at me by others.
I said yes, you may stop fighting.
The rocks thrown my way hurt.
But you taught me to have fortitude and press on.
(around the rock)Jesus is my rock and my refuge in times of trouble.
(on the rock) Ephesians 2:20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone

Tracy, first of all, your LO is absolutely serenely stunning! I am glad you are getting the negative out of your head and body and onto paper; and the right side looks at the positive that will replace the negative. We are all on this journey together, Thank God!

Thank you Char. The verses that I keep running across in my bible study are to rejoice, always, everywhere, and I am trying to do that. Trying to see the positive and. focus on what is good. AJ has been great at helping me shift from seeing the yuck to seeing the light.

Wow, the gentleness of the photo and paper contrast with the strength of the rock, the Scripture of your journaling. Very powerful page. I can tell you had to dig deep, and all of those emotions come through!

Thank you Chris. :heartpumppink: It was hard to type down the side. To get the emotion out and still be able to see the screen (tears). I'm glad it came across well. It was hard turning the photo into a sketch too, to see his smile staring back at me while working. :heartpumppink:

Tracy, thank you for sharing such a meaningful and impactful part of your life!! Your pages always remind me to go to "THE BOOK" and let God soothe me! Your angel sitting on a rock is such a beautiful metaphor for your theme!

Thank you Susie. This time in my life required a lot of growing up and a lot of "older" people in my life who acted like toddlers with their hands out. It was horrible. I'm so thankful I had God on my side and could lean on him.
