CHEERY O
Ooooh boy, it is Autumn weather for sure! At least it is for the next 24 hours. We will be back in the upper 70s over the weekend. But right now, it is 40*.
I'm glad that I'll be working outside in the sun today. It will be warmer out there than it will be in here.
I was at my desk much of yesterday and just could not get warm. Shivered all day long, even wearing three layers.
I unpacked, did all the laundry, cleaned my desk, and the ketchup that was thrown around here. :mopping:
Then I got to work preparing for the next two days at work.

I am ready for today's lesson/field trip. At least I think I am LOL! I have to go in a few minutes early to get some of the papers laminated. I am more concerned about the Girl Scout Badge program I am doing on Sunday. I thought it was a quick 2-hour program when I accepted the invite. It's a 4-hour, pretty dang information-intensive day. When I looked at the overview for the Badge, it requires taking tree measurements with DBH Tape. I know what it is, but not how to use it. Thankfully, Nicole sent me a photo of the box and where to find it. I googled how to use it and I think I should be ok. I learned that DBH stands for diameter at breast height and that is where you measure the tree-- approximately 4.5' from the base. In other words, a normal person's breast height. For me, it's closer to collarbone. Bwuahahah!

Have a fab day!

I was sure it was wine in that tea pot. :giggle4:
Only after 5 pm. Although it is always 5 pm somewhere. :wine4:

Good morning,
Heading out to see the PC doctor in a couple of hours. I've been nauseous for a couple of weeks and running to the bathroom around the clock is wearing me out. The last time I felt this way a couple of years ago I ended up having a UTI which is weird. Anyway, please send a prayer up for me today. I would appreciate it!
How was the appointment? I hope there is an easy solution without making you go for a slew of tests. Lotys of good thoughts coming your way!

One of my favorite events of the year here. Hoping the "box" winds send a lot of the hot air balloons over my neighborhood so I can get some photos of them. It will be cold enough that I need to wear a heavy robe as I stand in either the front yard or backyard with the camera. :floorlaugh:
*fingers and toes all crossed that you get to see some balloons* And this time, only in the air, not on your neighbor's lawn! (It was your neighbor or somewhere close to you, IIRC?)
Did you enjoy your PJ day?
Sorry the weather was not the best at the shore but sounds like the eating out was really nice.
We ate outside a few times, one time overlooking the Shark River Inlet at the Marina. It feels more special and vacation-y to eat outside.
I wish the staff would let me know (weeks) ahead of time not the night before that the teens will be having a party and wont be at dinner. We served 108 instead of 150 and man we had leftovers. It was crazy. Knowing the teens would be having their own potluck and fun would have been so nice, then we would only make enough food for 120. Oh well, lots of people got to take food home so that was nice.
Boo hiss to them for not letting you know in advance. Did you get to bring some leftovers home too?
How was the massage????
I must have slept funny cuz I have a knot in the middle of my back, sure could use a massage too....
Between the massage and the chiro I am hoping that you feel tons better and the tingling in your fingers goes away.

Blood work, urine sample, h-pylori test for measuring acid in the stomach, and the best one of all I got to bring home...poop sample kit!
I finally got some sleep last night, too! Still not feeling great! Very tired.

Good morning.
Spent more than an hour with the doctor yesterday. Blood work, urine sample, h-pylori test for measuring acid in the stomach, and the best one of all I got to bring home...poop sample kit!
I finally got some sleep last night, too! Still not feeling great! Very tired still. Still have a headache. I'm sure it is from no caffeine or sugar and very little food for 3 days.
Please continue the prayers for me as it's much appreciated!

LOL... yes.. You remembered right. A few years ago the hot air balloon landed in the backyard of my neighbor across the street from me ! About 14 years ago - when we lived in our old house (different neighborhood) - we had a hot air balloon landed on our garage roof.

Yes, I did enjoy my PJ day. Read some and relaxed. Only did 1 load of laundry.

Yesterday was a bit of a sad day... talked to cousin Karen and found out that her brother George passed away in August. They were more like brother and sister to my sisters and I as we grew up living close together. George had cancer so it wasn't unexpected.
Also talked to my cousin Kathy and learned that her brother Bryan had passed away about 3 months ago. Only 3 of us Carman cousins left now. <<< sigh >>>

Good morning ladies. I'm heading out soon for a bank appt, closing down one of our banks in BC and opening up another here. Then we'll be heading out for canasta for the afternoon but first I'll come home and walk Remi. Then home for dinner and out for the evening for the last outdoor social night of the year with friends. The temps are dropping quickly at night so should be in the low 40's. Will need to bundle up. Hope the firepit keeps us warm.

Made a small box with a hole to peep thru to view glow in the dark bracelets, I think the kids will love that. We'll bring it to our next market next wkend. I created a 2 sided sign to attach to the jewelry stand to advertise that they are glow in the dark bracelets. Need to pop into Staples to pick that up today.

I probably won't be here tomorrow as I'm heading out birding first thing in the morning and then home to take Remi out before getting ready to host game night here.

I'm looking forward to (hopefully) a quiet Sunday. I need to get some house chores done, meal plan and spend some extra time with Remi, maybe take her out for a drive and take some fall photos (although we don't get much fall color here, our season is too short, almost non-existent).

@faerywings Hope the weather is good for you out there.

Gotta go. HAGD everyone.

Have you looked at the DSD Sales??? WOW!!! Lots of fabulous sales dance3

Hope to get some more scrapping done and uploaded over the weekend. Which reminds me that I need to charge my camera battery!! And set the alarm for tomorrow morning. Lift off of balloons starts around 7AM if the wind co-operates. They fly until around 9 AM.

Hope you all have a wonderful day.

Good Morning all!

Did you get to bring some leftovers home too?
How was the massage????
I must have slept funny cuz I have a knot in the middle of my back, sure could use a massage too....

Yes, I always take leftovers home to feed hubs and the kids who dont attend the Wednesday services/activities. Normally they love it but sweet n sour isn't hubs thing. He doesn't eat it. But the Pastor and the Assistant Pastor both have young families so we make large leftover packets (full 9x13 pan size, maybe a little more) and send it home with them. Its fun to feed them that way.

Massage, yeah felt mostly good in the moment. But holy buckets she was after those rock hard muscles. I am bruised. My arms and the left side rib cage just above the bra line, under the armpit. Huge bruise. Everywhere she touched is tender. Some of its because of the lipedema (hard nodules under skin) and easily bruising. It was almost not worth it and I am contemplating cancelling the massage Tuesday. She only worked on upper back, neck, arms as that is where my stress is. I wasn't expecting to be bruised and at one point I said that really hurts and she said yeah its tight. English was a second language so I dont think I made it as clear as I should. Its a big bruise in that spot. Oh well, I can turn my head all the way left now.

Spent more than an hour with the doctor yesterday.
That sounds ........ terrible and good. I'm glad they didn't rush you and took the time that was needed. Not so great that you have samples to retrieve. Hope you get answers though and can soon be feeling amazing.
Only 3 of us Carman cousins left now. <<< sigh >>>
:hug2: That has to be hard. I never really felt old until I started to loose the relatives around me. Then it was like oh man, its my generations turn to be old and start passing away.

That's a great idea and the kids will love being able to see them glow. I bet it helps you sell the glow in the dark ones.

Yes. My wallet cant handle my hearts desires and ooooohhhhhh but its on sale so I'm saving money and ooooohhhhh look! That one says buy me and ooooo so does that one! :giggle4: I love/hate the sales. So many amazing products but even on sale they add up to more than I'm able at once. So much temptation to not adult and just buy buy buy!

Today is the CEF (child evangelism fellowship) pie auction. They raise money to travel across the state and teach kids how to share the message of Christ with others. They host after school programs for kids, teens teaching kids about the love of Jesus. Its awesome. Tonight is their big fundraiser and they auction pies. But first you must feed the people. So the lady who usually does the dinner (soups) is gone. She's also my Wednesday helper so she asked me to take her place. Big shoes to fill LOL. So today I will be cooking with my other Wednesday helper and making soup for 300 (150 x2 bowls of soup) and then we have to stick around to serve and clean up. Another long day and it leaves me nervous as I've never done this event before and its not "self serve" like our Wednesday dinners are. We have to plate and serve. Thankfully the CEF teens will do the table delivery. Slightly stressed and with feeling tender on my upper body, its gonna be a long night. But I think it will be worth it.

Off to take a hot shower, not pass out (thanks pots) try to cool off before dressing and get my day started. Hope you all have a wonderful day!
