Hello!
I am on Night #3 of extremely weird dreams. I feel like I am getting good sleep but my brain is having a hard time settling down. Unless it is trying to tell me something that I'm clueless about. Last night, I was repainting rooms in my house (totally *not* my house, the rooms were HUGE!) but I didn't use Benjamin Moore and it was coming out terribly. LOL

I didn't get a lot of anything done yesterday. Paid bills, cleaned for my friend, counted monarch caterpillars (we now have 7! :D), and squash-- two new ones. Made pickles (the food, not the Bridge, hahah!), vegan naan, and cauliflower curry with rice. I feel like I was busy all day -- I guess I was-- just not much to show for it.

Today will be a little quieter. Gary and I have our appointments with the LLMD. I am not sure why she wanted to see me in 3 months, unless it is to make sure I didn't relapse again? When did I stop abx? Was it really only three months ago? (Again, I tell ya, Time is *weird!!*)

This afternoon will be final prep for tomorrow's field trip. All that rain in the forecast? We got nothin' - only some drizzle for 10 minutes. The stream is going to be pretty dry but there is a small area with the frogs/newts we can explore.

Have fun today!

Had a wonderful time with the gals at the brown bag luncheon yesterday.
Fantastic!!
How are your shoulder and foot feeling today? I hope the massager chair and rice bag helped yesterday.
Are you expecting cooler temps all day or is it mostly overnight? Either way, any time without the AC on is nice.

@bcgal00 How exciting that you have the cruise all set. The timing of the cruise and airfare bookings would make me anxious but I know you will get it all worked out in time.
Good luck with the next two markets. How many will you sign up for during the holiday season?

@vickyday I thought you were going to send the rain to meeee, not bring it with youuuuuuu :bawling:
Have a wonderful visit with the family!

Sometimes I think I work too hard at these.
I honestly don't know what you mean. :thinking2:
HAHAHA!
Sounds just like me, overthinking it. And it all worked out fine? I am sure it did.
Have you passed the incubation window for catching David's Covid? How long is it even at this point? It changes and I don't remember what it is anymore. I hope that you are past it (based on where he got it) and hopefully, he won't be contagious much longer. I'll get my vaccine and flu shot as soon as they are ready in the Fall.

@mimes1 Hi there!! Hope you are having a fab visit with Erinn.
I have a bird question for you-
What kind of suet will woodpeckers like the best? We have downy and red-bellied that come to the feeder every day. I put out a basic seed/berry mix they seem to like, but I'm not sure if there is a specific blend they would prefer.

@AK_Tracy At first, I thought you were referencing a kid vs adult perspective but I guess it is more that the glacier is moving and/or melting?

Time to get breakfast and throw some makeup on.
xoxo

I hate the weird dreams that leave you guessing!
Sounds like you got a lot done to me!
Prayers for your LLMD visit! :praying2:

I know, right? I wish I could've actually made it go your way instead of following us!

Quick in and out.
Mark and I are heading to the north point of the cape for some sight seeing and pictures. Jessica and family are gone fishing and shopping for the day....you guess who is doing what, LOL!
Here is the sunset photo from Tuesday night...not spectacular by any means! (just turned on the computer today.)
Have a wonderful day!

Morning, all.

Still sore and aching... guess it is going to take a few days for them to heal... At least I was able to sleep better last night after putting some Aspercream on the shoulder and taking a pain pill. Will be using the massager and rice bag again today.
Our cooler temps are mainly at night - getting down into the mid-60's early in the morning.... so I can have the house opened up for a couple of hours then. Thank goodness it is not humid and muggy. May get rain showers later this afternoon/early evening.

@vickyday - What a beautiful seaside photo!!! Enjoy your time at the cape.

Time to close the house up, get dressed and get another cup of coffee. HAGD

Good morning!

Yes, the glacier is melting and receding.

Still fun to hike back just over a mile and see it. This is the only photo that I have reduced I size so far. But stay tuned, as I am sure they will be featured in LO soon.

Not much happening here. My mom is visiting so won't be online much. @vickyday the sunset is beautiful. The clouds are cool. @BrightEyes hope you start to feel better. Not fun to hurt the foot and shoulder. Or any part.

Hope you all have a wonderful day!

Good morning ladies. I have been online shopping for kids jewelry accessories. I'm hooked LOL. It'll be so much fun to have a line of kids bracelets for the markets. I tried out some glow-in-the-dark beads and after 5 min in the sun they do glow in the dark...fun for the kids! I have ordered a variety of colors and styles to create with.
@faerywings I've got 2 markets at the end of the month, then I am taking a break for the fall and have 5 booked for Xmas so far. I might fit in 1 or 2 more and that'll be it until next year, around Mothers Day when it'll start up again.

Today we're off the mahjong and then I want to come home and bake some banana bread before making dinner tonight.

@faerywings curry cauli with rice sounds good.

@AK_Tracy We've noticed the receding icebergs over the years of traveling to AK. They are still majestic and beautiful but it's sad to think of what climate change is doing.

@vickyday Lovely pic! I don't think it is possible to get a bad shot of a sunset, they are all beautiful, aren't they?

Gotta go, take Remi out and have a bit of hummus/almond crackers before heading to mahjong. HAGD everyone.

I have to agree, Rae! I love the clouds capturing the light from the setting sun but my daughter wants to capture a cloudless sunset. I don't think that is going to happen!

My talk last night went just fine. I only wished that my voice didn't waver when I'm nervous. I'm sure it's from not breathing right, but once I get a few slides in it settled down.

I took my car in for service today and it was free since I bought it at the dealership. I think that's the last free one, but I saved $120 anyway. Of course on the way home I stopped at Costco and spent $127. :floorlaugh:

David was feeling well enough to go out and do some weeding while I was gone. He brought in a pile of mini sweet peppers, which is the only veg we grow. It's kind of a legacy -- I always want to plant hot hot hot peppers with the hope that the current year's fawns will eat one by accident and forever avoid our yard, which never happens, but this year David said we should plant sweet peppers because we never do anything with the hot peppers. OK fine, now I have to figure out how to use the sweet peppers. I'm not making pickles, and although they're theoretically big enough to stuff, it would be fiddly. Maybe I'll just chop them up and freeze them to throw in soups and stews this winter. (Odds of me remembering they're in the freezer: about 1%)

I was wondering about this today. I'll have to try to look it up. So far I don't have any symptoms. (cross my fingers -- why isn't there a "crossed fingers" smilie in this app?)

Oh, and btw, you weren't the only one to recommend electrolytes, so I bought some Liquid IV. OMG they taste terrible. Maybe I'll be able to drink them diluted twice or three times. I'll give it a try next work day.

I agree with you. Whenever we go up to the mountain ridge to watch the sunset, clear skies are not nearly as interesting or beautiful as a nice layer of clouds. Luckily, there's almost always enough humidity coming up from the Blue Ridge to make some evening clouds.

I am 100% with your 1% chance of remembering those peppers in the freezer! I have some now that have been in there since March!
