Good morning!
I have the AC off, the windows are open, and I love the quiet in the house. All I hear are the birds chirping and the dogs snoring. Sweet!
My busy day yesterday was indeed busy. Every once in a while, my arthritis acts up and I worry that Lyme symptoms are back. Then I have long days like yesterday and realize there is no way I could get everything done and not be a puddle on the floor if they were. My friend only puts the AC on if absolutely necessary, which meant I cleaned for 2.5 hours in the heat and probably sweated out every last drop of water that I drank.
But I asked if she had any science-y or art supplies that she wanted to get rid of to keep me in mind. She dragged out some of her old teaching supplies and sent me home with scissors, poster board, cardstock, glue sticks, rulers- etc and etc.
My mom and went to the diner and had a good time catching up, aside from her concerns about my dad. He called me in the afternoon to order him another cane (good idea, Dad!), but when I asked how the audiologist appointment went, he became very upset and discouraged. The new/better hearing aid still isn't helping. He is hearing is going in and out even with the aid, everything sounds tinny, and he doesn't think it is ever going to work. He could barely make out what I was saying on the phone.
After my mom left, I had to pay bills (ugh!) and then cut out some cardboard owl masks for work. I am helping with a Forestry Merit badge on Saturday, so I read over the lesson plan to get familiar with "silviculture," a brand-new word to me!
Today I am working from home. I want to make sure I have everything ready to go for the camp days. I want to see if I can pick up a bag of food from the FP "emergency hotline"
since I am working all day on Saturday, the next scheduled date. It stinks that no one else in my house is willing to go when I can't, but I get it, it is not a great feeling going there, so I won't push unless it is dire.
Maybe I will have time to work on the AJ challenge today.
I hope so!!
Hugs!
