Good morning and happy Monday!
Is everyone recovered from the long weekend and ready to get back to a normal routine? Whatever that may be. LOL

I am in a much better headspace today. I worked and sweated my butt off yesterday. I spent almost three hours in the backyard raking out the garden spots. They were still covered with the dead leaves from last autumn. Part of me questioned why I was even bothering at this point. But the yard looks much tidier, especially where I clipped back the forsythia. I had to be so careful, though. There were random patches of poison ivy in places where it hadn't grown before. As soon as I was done, I got in the shower and scrubbed anywhere I might have brushed against it.

Today I am heading into work for a few hours, planning on transplanting some of the milkweed by the parking lot to the front of the cabin. Before I do that I have to make one more run at the grocery order. Caitlyn told me this morning that one of the meals I had planned has too many calories, and could I make hers with less/no cheese. I already had reworked it so I could make some of it vegan and some with regular cheese. To make three different variations for 4 people is too much. She asked me to make a Tex-Mex Sweet Potato skillet last night. A "quick and easy meal, one pan, on the table in 30 minutes deal." Pfffft!! An hour and a half later, I was just getting the toppings ready before we sat down. It was very good but "yeah, right" to the 30 minutes. (I know they always clock it with all of the ingredients prepped but that was a big difference. )

Hugs to you!

You have lots of connections with others! Choose the one that gives you pleasure and satisfaction and go for it!
Thank you for the ideas-- I started a page about connections yesterday and will finish it today (I hope).
It has been a delightful holiday weekend having them here sharing time with me. Heard from DD#3... she is slowly recovering from the crud... but her son#1 is still down with it. Keeping our fingers crossed that DD#1 and I don't come down it as we were with DD#3 right before she got sick.
Such a nice time you had with DD#1 and her son. Good healthy wishes to DD#3 and her son as well.
Oh I hope its just a nasty bug bite and the abx fixes it. What. a worry.
Me too. I had a heart attack with the initial cost ($450 for the visit, tests, and her vaccines) but if it is cancerous--- nope, don't want to think about it. :lalala:
Yes, I can imagine thanks. :giggle4:
Eeep. Sorry!
Well, the warden (hubs) grounded me and I wasn't allowed. I'm still internally hot from being out all day the other day. Tomorrow I am heading up the deep clean of our church kitchen so I wont get here until late if at all. Today is a chill day after church. Maybe scrap a challenge. Need to start a new book as I finished mine last night. It was one of the July first reads and whoa it was a thriller. Had me from the go.
Glad that you listened to the Warden. Take breaks at church today, ya hear? :whip4:
Which book did you get? I saw the email but didn't look at any of them yet.

Time to fold laundry so I have shorts to wear today. I do not want to be working outside when it is 85° and 77% humidity and in long pants.

xoxo

Glad you got to work in your yard yesterday! I think that was exactly what you needed!
It rained here all day yesterday and kept the temps at bay!

Good Morning,
Woke up at 5 again this morning.....or was it 4? Not sure now! Ended up getting up at 6:45 because sleep just wouldn't come! I had to be at the doctor's office for bloodwork at 8 anyway. I got ready to go and fixed my coffee to drink after the bloodwork was done and headed out the door at 7:30.

I texted Mark when I was done and told him I was going to McDonald's if he wanted me to bring him something. Since he wanted an egg McMuffin, we won't be doing lunch today.

After taking him the McMuffin, I went back to the grocery store to pick up my order. But I changed my mind on supper tonight, so I had to go in and get a few things for my plan B.

After groceries were picked up, I darted across the street to make the church deposit. Then stopped at the PO on the way home to get the mail there. Why Mark insists on having a PO Box and a mail box I'll never know!

Now I'm home, groceries are put away and since I have posted this, I am ready to start my supper of stuffed peppers. I am going to put them in the crockpot in a "bed" of marinara sauce. So I will cook some rice in the rice cooker while I am cooking up the hamburger. Then mix the 2 together and prep the peppers and pop them in the crockpot on low for the rest of the day. They should be good and tender in time for supper!

I'll do some more scrapping after I am done! I got a couple of designer challenges done this weekend. So I will try some of the regular challenges today.

Have a great day!

Good Morning.
Quick drive by fruiting (Robin Williams in Mrs Doubtfire)

Which book did you get? I saw the email but didn't look at any of them yet.
I think it was called Last Seen. It had me guessing until the very end, which is rare. I usually know before half way how it will end, either the murderer, the bad guy or yeah who to main romance will be. :giggle4: But this was 400 pages of what? huh.... okay.... yeah didn't see that coming. Was good.

@vickyday All I have done is shower and coffee. Feel like a slacker next to your list LOL Time difference is crazy and makes me feel so behind by the time I get here.

Off to clean the church kitchen, like pull everything out of the cabinets and really scrub time. I'm praying more then the two people who said sure will show up. I'll be there 8 hours but everyone else is welcome to pop in so we shall see. Its not sunny but the fish are running so I have a 50/50 shot at people coming.

Have a wonderful day!

How many hours are you behind East Coast Time?

You caught my attention with the book name.... Unfortunately I found about 6 books (different authors names) so not sure which one you read. 3 of them had over 400 pages so that did not help narrow it down. Can you give us the author's name???

Been busy all day scrapping. Got 3 LOs done (2 pre-release and 1 just released kit). Beginning to feel more like a 'normal' week. :girldance: :floorlaugh::D I need to do some commenting on LOs... I am behind on that.

DD#1 and son stopped over this morning for a quick visit. They were heading to the Apple store to see if they can get into Son's old Apple cell phone and transfer the info/Apps there to his new Apple phone. He can't remember the PW on the old one. They also brought over a few shirts and shorts that need to be mended. Will work on them tomorrow.

I realized that I needed to strip the bed sheets and wash them with some disinfectant as DD#3 had slept in my bed with me the night before she got sick!!! Stripped the bed then sprayed it and the pillows with disinfectant and let it air out most of the day. Will give it another couple of days before I relax and say I didn't get sick from her. :hiding2:
