One of my best and dearest friends in the whole wide world has to move. If any of you can spare a good thought or prayer for her and her family, I would appreciate it. She has an application for a rental and is waiting to hear if it was accepted. Thank you!

Thank you!!!! You all helped because I got a text from her late last night that her application was accepted.
Not knowing where you are living has to be hard enough, but it came under awful circumstances. She and her fam have lived in that house, across the street from me, for 25 years. Our daughters grew up together as best friends/sisters. I cannot imagine looking out my window and not seeing them there.
(I am not going to cry. I can't...)
But her landlord is kicking them out and has been making the last month or so miserable for them. If she was moving because she found *the house* -- I'd be over the moon happy for her. It's just sad- for her and for me.

I can't think about it too much. I am so heartbroken.

It's such good news that her application was accepted, but so very sad that she has to move at all. After twenty five years . . . just awful. So sorry, Chris, as I'm sure you'll miss her being there but I'm certain y'all will remain in close touch.

She isn't moving far, about 20-25 minutes from here. But not the same as across the street. When our girls were little, they would talk on the phone and wave at each other from the front windows.
But yes-- we will stay in touch for sure.

Awww . . . that's like having family move away. :(
 
Wishing her good thoughts I'm so happy they will have a place to go. I wish them all the good luck in their next chapter. I hope they are not moving too far so you can still get together.

Yup-- she is family ♥
Her kids called me Mama Chris all their lives- only recently do they call me "Chris." And they are 22 and 26 yo Hahaha
Her DD was the officiant at Caitlyn's wedding and talked about all the times they married each other as preschoolers. I have a ton of pics of them doing that.
I knew she was pg with her DS before she did- I told her she needed to take a test, we were sitting on the beach and she said she felt funny. She stopped at the store on the way home and called me that day, it was positive.
 
She is definitely family! I'm so very glad, Chris, she is not moving hundreds of miles away and that you will still be able to share good times together. Don't miss any opportunity to be with her and make more memories together. You were the first to comment when I lost my best friend back in 2020. Hardly a day passes, to this day, that I don't think of her. She was Aunt Carolyn to my granddaughters, and they still call her that. TY! She'll be close but it's so hard with everyone's schedules. She would text me randomly to see if I wanted to go for a walk and didn't care if I hadn't even brushed my hair yet LOL
