Hello friends! How are you all today?

I am doing pretty well. It's a field trip in the rain day but no thunder is expected so it should be fine, if a little soggy. I was going to blow my hair out straight yesterday and then realized what an utter waste of time that would be. I love my Weis baseball cap. Shove my hair under that and I am ready to roll.

Did I get everything finished that I wanted to? Meh... Not quite as much but not as little as I feared. I have my three days of camp broken into time slots, and now I am filling in the books/music/activities for each day. Unfortunately, now I have the song Five Green Speckled Frogs on a loop in my brain.
The rest of the day was interspersed with house cleaning- bathrooms, vacuuming, and laundry. Highlight-- playing with the rats. Pigeon did not want to be scooped but let me pet her while she is in her igloo/house. Usually, she pushes my hand out LOL. The babies' personalities are clearly evident- they crack me up. I can pretty much time how long it will take each of them to come out of the cage and then how long to come up to me and hang out on my lap or initiate playtime. Margot was trying to scuffle me, which is hysterical. Teeny little rat baby smaller than my hand, trying to get me to chase and "wrestle" her. Adorable ♥

The kids head home from camping today, hope they have a safe trip in the rain. It only rained one day and were able to get to the amusement park every day so far.

Wish us luck today. It is a small group-- 50-ish kids but we are supposed to have two rounds of field games, which might be hard in the rain. Kids will be slipping and sliding in the grass. I'm working in the woods doing a soil and decomposers lesson. I'll be able to stay sort of "dry."

Have great day and fun at the party!

I got a $10 gift certificate from Red Cross and I chose Buffalo Wild Wings just because I love wings. So we went out for dinner last night. Of course $10 barely covers the tip but whatever. Now I just have to lose 50 pounds before my annual checkup in 8 days.
That sounds fun! LOL-ing at the "lose 50 lbs" bit.
David came home from our trail work day with a little guest -- a tiny tick on his back.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry. *collects myself*
Keep in the back of your mind that most people don't get a bullseye (IIRC only 30%?) so if he starts to get any weird symptoms, get tested. Also, many doctors here will write an Rx for antibiotics if you have a tick attached, usually 10 days of doxy as a preventative. Something to think about.
D was back at the hospital on Sat night. They did a CT scan and discovered pleurisy (fluid in his lungs) so he has had that for wks but the hospital didn't catch it last time b/c when they discovered the pneumonia they stopped looking for anything else. He's home and waiting to hear from the specialist. He will determine if antibiotics/anti-inflammatories might clear it up or if he needs to go in and have it drained. Poor guy, it's one thing after another with him lately.
On no! Pleurisy is *painful*-- had that once and once is too much. Lots of healing thoughts to him. Aren;t you relieved that you are in an area with better health care than you were?
The organizer of the event was terrible, she didn't do the social media advertising she should have and didn't put up the signs in the right spots so it was much quieter than it should have been.
BTDT and it's hard not to get angry at that. I did a few 2-day markets and that 2nd day is a killer. But it sounds like it was a promising start and it will get easier each time.
Hope the contractor quotes a decent price for you.
We had two come and it wasn't as $$ as we feared but more than we have. Sooo---ehhhh?

I'm exhausted just reading all of this!! Dont forget to unchain and move a little or you'll be super sore from lack of movement.
I did! I started my day with 30-min yoga and that helps me so much. It's like my brain is primed to have good posture and body awareness.
Not much happening today. Will do the leave love game and read more of my book. Some laundry, which makes me double glad the suns out. I much prefer the hung up outside smell to dryer smell.
Sound like you had a productive day planned. How did you feel after getting outodf the house on Sunday?
@vickyday @BrightEyes
Vicky and Kay I hope your both enjoying your families and having a wonderful time!
yes, from me too!

Good Morning All!

Yesterday was good but it rained. Sunday was good. It was nice to get out of the house and be around people. I was done though by the time we got home. Some swelling from being active but not as bad as expected.

Today the sun is out. YEAH and laundry is already done so hopefully that means I get to sit outside and read. We shall see.

The numbness in my legs from surgery is so weird. It takes up to three months to totally disappear. Its just a weird sensation. Like a million pins stabbing me all at once but not just stabbing but when anything touches or slides across the skin. Last night and this morning are the worst yet. I do have meds to take if its too much but I dont like to take meds to I'll deal with it. Just forgot this part of recovery and oh its crazy weird/annoying today.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good Afternoon,
Quick in and out.
@faerywings have fun with the kids!
@AK_Tracy praying for quick healing!
I don't even remember when I was in here last.....before the 1st, maybe, when the family came??
We had a good gathering for the weekend and then my sister stayed with us the following week (last week). We were busy with errands (including dr. visits) all week. She had to go home to rest from her vacation! ;) We had to use her car most of the week because mine was in the shop. Got it back for less than $200 for a vvt selonoid or something like that. More dr. visits this week for followups to last week's dr. More to follow.....lovely!
Next week I will be heading to PA to the Sight N Sound Theater to watch the Noah presentation and spending the week there with Ilene and her daughters and a great-grandchild and the MIL of one of her daughters. It will be another crazy busy week!
Mark has been working so much OT (Thank You, Lord!) that he is ready for a week of vacation, LOL! Asked me where I hadn't been in a while. I told him Hawaii! He laughed! I told him I had "connections" in Alaska..... @AK_Tracy ! He said he would love to go to both places but it would take a little more planning and time than doing it right now! We shall see!
I'm missing the birthday party, but it can't be helped! So much going on here! I did work on the AJ challenges for weeks 1 & 2 for June and got my draft done for week 3. I need to get all of that posted. Guess I will do that while I'm home this afternoon.
Also picked up my glasses today but can't see out of them! She said to wait and start fresh with them tomorrow and give it a week! I've never had to make that kind of adjustment before! So, I'm sure I will end up taking them back to them! I hate having to change doctors because of this reason! SIGH
OK, gotta run!
Have a great afternoon and have fun at the birthday party!

HAHAHAHA Mark might be right. Summer prices are in effect and whoa dogs you better save save save!!! Hotel prices have shot up too almost $300 a night depending on where you want to be. Its insane. But I am willing to kick a kid out of a room!! :heartpumppink: Fishing is great in mid/late July. Fireweed is spectacular a little later. Moose are always around. Bears well, that depends on where you go. Train rides are amazing to see lots of the state without bugs. Lots to do! Come on up!

I've read through everyone's chatter here but I am too tired to write now so will catch up after a sleep.

We are in Chambersburg PA and will enjoy a quiet day tomorrow then up to Promised Land Campground in Greenland PA for a days
