GoooOd morning, O-zies!
Man oh man, oh mannnnn. I was so confused when I went to bed last night. What day was it? Weekend, weeknight? Not a clue. My schedule was wonky and not having Caitlyn as a "time anchor" was also throwing me off. But it is Monday and I know it because I am hosting the DAY 3 - JUNE 9 | GALLERY LOVE | GAME.
Go grab your spot if you haven't already.

Yesterday turned out to be a beautiful weather day. It was looking a little yucky first thing but cleared up by the time the Forest Bathing hike began, and just got better as the day went on. It started to rain around dinner time, but that was ok, I had plenty of fresh air and sunshine by then.

A big -- and I mean *big* -- donor was attending the hike and Lauren killed it. She said she was nervous, but you'd never know. The donor was mostly up in front and I managed to get her in a lot of the pics/videos. Win-win if ya ask me :D
We are a non-profit and rely on donations for funding. Field trips are another income stream but some of the other programs are "break-even" type things. A woman asked about renting cabins for a homeschool pod so I tagged along on the "tour" and we had a chance to plug some of the HS field trips we have done.
The rest of the day was spent outside in the yard and then playing with all of the rats. I somehow managed to squeeze in time to scrap a LO for the template challenge.

It is raining today which works out for me since I am chained to my desk. :multitasking: Lessons for the summer camp, gallery love commenting, scrapping for another challenge, and working on my menu/grocery order. Playing with rats- not chained to my desk, but also needs to get done.
This afternoon we have a contractor coming to look at the patio. I don't know what we are going to do, I know it is going to be more expensive than what we have in savings-- 5 year olds have more in their piggy banks than we have in "savings" [insert laugh-cry-snort-sniffle].

Wishing you a happy Monday!

My daughter and son-in-law still own the first house they bought in upstate NY when he was in grad school. They rent it out. Friday night there was 4” of rain and the tenant was awakened at 2 am by a loud noise. One of the basement walls had caved in. What a disaster. I was worried that the house was unstable with a foundation wall missing but they were able to put support under it and it’s apparently livable. Fortunately son-in-law’s parents live next door and manage the property. On the one hand I feel helpless because there is nothing I can do, on the other I am very glad I’m not there and dealing with it. Between the plumbing issues in their current house and now this, those kids have not had a good week, for sure. I keep telling myself they’re grownups, they can handle it, but once a mom always a mom, right?
Oh no!!! That sounds scary and a total PITB for everyone involved. I feel for your DD, having everything seem to fall apart at the same time. I am more than happy to share my bubblegum and duct tape with her. Good thoughts to her and to you.

@BoatLady
I had to wear compression socks for awhile
me too, after my ankle surgery a few years ago and even just socks were awful. Cant; imagine pants!

Maybe we should invent some to crush the stomach area so we cannot eat...LOL:yesss:
They do. Spanx. *full body shudder*
:p

did not know Lyme could cause psychiatric/neuro issues. My brother has Lyme but has not affected him that way. Well I learned something new today..thanks.
Yeah, it can cause brain inflammation. We both had SPECT scans done and the inflammation pattern is similar to that of MS. A lot of Lyme symptoms can be different based on how long you have had it and what organs it affects. Brain, heart, GI, as well as the joints, eyes, and skin. One of my tells when I have a flare is the internal scarring from my lumpectomy gets tender. The bacteria will literally hide in scar tissue. Plus, my POTS symptoms get much worse. Gary has a semi-permanent Bell's palsy, neuropathies, and psych issues on top of the typical joint pain.

"I adore Eva and respect her love of ketchup"

Liar!
Hey!! I did NOT say I love ketchup. Only that I "respect" your love of ketchup. I don't understand it  but I respect it. :rotfl:
The chair at the end of the hallway is giving me the creeps.
Chris aren't you suppose to relax on the weekends??? I thought that you were suppose to slow down and rest up. :floorlaugh: Pot listens to kettle. I'm a little freaked by the rats but so glad you are enjoying them.
Relax. What does that mean? Not a clue!
LMBO at the bathroom/compression dilemma!
I am fully dressed down to make up and socks! Woo hoo!!! I get to leave the house for church today. Other than riding along Friday for grocery pickup I haven't left my house in almost two weeks. I'm ready to see something besides my place.
Yippppeeeeeeeee!!!!!!!

Hugs!!

I got a $10 gift certificate from Red Cross and I chose Buffalo Wild Wings just because I love wings. So we went out for dinner last night. Of course $10 barely covers the tip but whatever. Now I just have to lose 50 pounds before my annual checkup in 8 days.

David came home from our trail work day with a little guest -- a tiny tick on his back. I couldn't even see if that's what it was until I took a photo and blew it way up. At this time of year they're so tiny you barely see them at all, and even then it's just a tiny black dot. Well, we marked where it was and will keep an eye on it. Hoping it wasn't on long enough to transmit Lyme. At least neither of us came home with poison ivy rash. Why do I do this, anyway?

We're going out this morning to do a little bridge repair. Lots of bug spray, followed by scrubbing in the shower.

I'm having fun with the birthday party. I'll be trying to keep up this week. Several meetings the next three days but I should be able to catch up by Thursday or Friday. By then I'll have to start cleaning up for the grandkids' summer visit. They insist they can't share the queen bed in the guest room so I have to clear out my office so one of them can use the futon. That's going to be a multi-day effort.

Have a great day, everyone!

@Terri M Fingers crossed for no problems from the tick. I'm glad he spotted it b/c I check myself and honestly don't know if I would spot it or not, they are so tiny.

D was back at the hospital on Sat night. They did a CT scan and discovered pleurisy (fluid in his lungs) so he has had that for wks but the hospital didn't catch it last time b/c when they discovered the pneumonia they stopped looking for anything else. He's home and waiting to hear from the specialist. He will determine if antibiotics/anti-inflammatories might clear it up or if he needs to go in and have it drained. Poor guy, it's one thing after another with him lately.

Glad my 2 day artisan market is over. The organizer of the event was terrible, she didn't do the social media advertising she should have and didn't put up the signs in the right spots so it was much quieter than it should have been. Made some money though, networked with some ladies and we'll all do a market together in Aug. Jen and I enjoyed hanging out and chatting and we played scrabble on our phones together. Two days is too much though. I only want to do one day markets from now on. Got some ideas on more designs, using chain and beads. I have enough bracelets to get me through the next market so will just focus on creating some matching chain necklaces and if I get enough of those ready for the next market in 3 wks then I will get some chain and bead bracelets done too.

Slept well last night but am still a bit tired today. Will run a few errands but mostly will relax today. Maybe get some laundry done later.

@faerywings Hope the contractor quotes a decent price for you.

I need to get out for Remi's walk soon before the heat ramps up, its a hot one here today.

Good Monday morning!!!!!
I see shadows so that means the suns trying to show up. Poured rain all weekend.

I'm exhausted just reading all of this!! Dont forget to unchain and move a little or you'll be super sore from lack of movement.

That sounds yummy!!! Wings are so messy and fun and mmmmmmmmm yummy. The tick part for David, not so much fun. Glad you found it.
Glad my 2 day artisan market is over. The organizer of the event was terrible,
I'm glad you made it successful but thats too bad it wasn't advertised well.

Not much happening today. Will do the leave love game and read more of my book. Some laundry, which makes me double glad the suns out. I much prefer the hung up outside smell to dryer smell.

@vickyday @BrightEyes
Vicky and Kay I hope your both enjoying your families and having a wonderful time!
