hellooooOoooOOOOooo!!
How is the O-Fam today?

I am so grateful for the rain. It rained on and off all day yesterday and it should be the same weather pattern today. Lauren contacted the HS parents to have the kids wear appropriate clothes to be outside. Now all I need is no heavy downpours and no thunder. *fingers crossed*
Some of you saw it already, but I *finally* finished the scrap page about The Best Chris

The third attempt at it was the charm. :giggle4:
I trashed the first two tries, and this one flowed. Thank goodness, or I would have spent more time than I would have had on a silly LO.

The library run was a success. I checked out 5 kids' books and i think I know which one will be my first. It's called "The Toad," by Elise Gravel, and it is adorable! My goal is to put together a short write-up and craft to go with it by the end of the week. After putting around the children's library (been a long time since I did that) I had a better idea of the book style I want. Non-fiction but fun. I think I have a few to start with and see how it goes!

Jaida wants to go out, be back soon for personals.

'm heading to the track before it gets too warm. Lots of items on the to-do list today.
Good for you for hitting the track! Did you get everything on your list done? I'd need the heating pad for sure, but I hope it wasn't too much for you.

LOL @faerywings -Bird dork!!!LOL , me too but got hooked in CT from a co-worker. Then when I met up with Amy- @mimes1 who showed my the Merlin Bird ID app I listen for different birds then try to spot them. I use it when we travel because there are so many different birds in other areas of the US. I used to put on Hummingbird feeders but not the last few years because we leave and it's not fair to start feeding then stop for the summer. I have seen a few come by to feed off the aloe plant flowers, natural food for them.
Bird Dorks Unite! :smiliesdoingwave:
It must be fascinating getting to see so many different birds on your trips. I am impatiently awaiting all of the photos you take with the new camera as you travel these next several months!
@faerywings I never know what to get our son for his birthday he has everything and buys what he wants but you gave me the idea--ferro rods...he builds bonfires at his house in CT and his McCabin in NY. It will be a new toy for him. Now to think of more stuff for him. FYI got one for hubby to so we can have some campfires this summer!!!
That's so awesome!! I actually have another idea if he doesn't have one already-- a Jet-Boil. Scott uses his all of the time-- camping, hiking, campfires. Seriously, it is one of his favorite camping/hiking things.
Blow kisses to your ducklings for me :blowkiss:

Glad to finally be getting rain as we really need it.
As long as you aren't getting any damage from hail and rain, I am relieved that you are getting it too.
I have been MIA as my back is simply killing me and it hurts to sit for too long, but then it hurts to stand for too long too  . Lots of heat on it now and some more pain killers and hopefully I will be back to being pain free soon.
*gentle hugs to you!* I hate that feeling when it hurts to sit/stand/lie down for more than a few minutes. You just don't know what to do to make your body happy.
TFS the soup recipe! Not something I could swap out vegan/vegetarian, but someday it was be only Gary and I here for dinners. Not any time soon with the housing market. I never know if I should be happy or sad about that. I obviously *love* Cait and Tom living here but I know they want/need/should have their own place.
At one point I texted everything I did in a day to hubs while he worked cause it felt like what I did, didn't matter. It helped us both to see what I did and that while small jobs they matter and it helped me see what all I did and why I was tired.
It does matter what you do, and wow, you do a lot! Glad that texting him helped him to see that.

Dont know what I did but my hip is killing me this past week. Now my back is tweaked and woke me up a couple times last night. I'm sure a bit of its stress. I took on Kitchen Manager at church (volunteer) and while we aren't inventing the wheel, we are re-treading it.
1. Good thoughts that you are feeling better today.
2. WHAT WERE YOU THINKING???
3. More gentle hugs coming your way~~~~

@BrightEyes Of all places for the traffic light to go out, it had to be that crazy intersection. That was nice of the other driver to let you in, that doesn't happen very often in my area.

Quick pop in for an answer! I don't know!!! We have flocks of them come through here and they wipe out the feeders in no time. Literally a hundred or more at a time. Here's a screenshot from a video on my phone. All cowbirds!!
:jawdrop3: That's a lot of cowbirds!!
Thanks for the (non) answer :rotfl:
They are so cool looking, esp the female but dang, why do they gotta be so mean?

xoxoxo!

Good Morning!

I've been asking myself this a lot! What was I thinking. But the Kitchen manager needs to be organized and I can do that. Once we get a few things figured out it will be smooth and minimal but right now its ugh what did I agree to?

I love the "best Chris". Super fun.

Not much happening here today. I cleaned house yesterday. First Monday of the month cleaned. All appliances are sparkly pretty, vacuumed the couches, moved them to vacuum. Laundry all done and lots more. My house looks nice for a moment. Dogs are so funny. As soon as all their toys are in the bucket they freak out and must pull them all out. So funny. Today will be a chill day. Need to recover from yesterdays over do it. But the best part ever! I wasn't dying by the end. I wasn't so wore out I couldn't finish like I use to be before surgery. Not too long until the next one and I cant wait to see how it is this fall when totally recovered from that. If this little bit makes me feel so amazing what it will feel when my thighs aren't so heavy. Okay, off to get more coffee. Have a wonderful day.

Now I know why no one else has posted. Site wont post my reply. Hope you dont get 17 copies since I tried several times.

Good morning. I'm going to get a few pieces designed before heading out with Remi and then off to the club for games this afternoon. I have to pick up a paper trimmer I ordered at Michaels. I can't believe I am buying one after owning 6 of them but giving them away when we moved. The same with cardstock, I gave away and donated hundreds and guess what I need now??? Yep, cardstock. Ugh. Oh well, whats done is done. I decided to make my own product hanging tags and will affix a business label to them (they should arrive next week). I still need a hole puncher too. I will be cutting, folding, hole punching and stapling about 200 pieces for the market next month. I still have about 70 pieces to create too. Good thing I love doing this b/c it sure is a lot of work initially.

I am enjoying the warm weather, we seem to jump right from bundling up to wearing shorts and tees, not much spring time here.

@faerywings Love the page you did and the story, you really have the best job. Food delivery is with Fresh Prep and alternating with Hello Fresh. I am alternating between the two, depending on the weekly menu. I made dinner last night on my own which felt weird LOL.

I've got to get to (crafting) work now so better get a move on. HAGD everyone.

That's what I'm going through while I'm currently decluttering.....what to keep.....what to get rid of! So, the things I'm not sure about are going out in the she shed for now!

Good Afternoon,
Busy morning still decluttering.
I brought a ton of folders home from the parsonage along with the desk chair. Bank statements from as far back as 2008. I trashed 99% of the stuff. Lots of it was hospital stuff from Tim's illness, besides bank and credit card statements.
The chair feels wonderful as I sit at the desk in the bedroom typing this! I took the arms off yesterday, not realizing that the arms held the back on. So Mark took the arms to work and cut off the arm rest portions, leaving the portions that connected to the back and seat to hold the chair together! PERFECT! Love my mechanical husband! I picked the arms up from him when we went to lunch today.
Still enjoying the frozen meals I fixed last month! I still have several left since we don't always eat supper here after eating lunch out. They are good for 3 months, however, so no problem there!
Began working on the next widows' devotional today. However, I really need to work on this Saturday's Bible Study of Psalm 19. Will do that later. It will be easier.
Got my laundry done yesterday.
Told Ilene I had too much going on this week to be able to "play".
Need to get back to work.
Have a great afternoon!

:wavinghello:everyone I am having another very busy day today and just popped in to say Hello to you all, we are in the middle of staining the fence and have the tunes playing in the background. We both needed a break and coffee to give us a bit more energy to finish off the job. Anyway I hope you are all having a great day! Tomorrow we will both be hiking so won't be here again tomorrow. Starting to wonder if maybe its time to take a break from scrapping and give up my CT duties. We will see. Oh and @vickyday here is the difference between shrimp and prawns.

Must be the week for hauling out the trash, it took me 3 tries to get the left side of my last double volleyball page done, started the right side today-

Darlin', maybe you better dial back on the caffeine.

We've had 3 nice days of weather in a row. We got the bikes out for the first time yesterday and just did a short 9 mile warm up the joints ride. Today we went out for 12 miles, when we got back we worked in the garden for a bit, we still had the chicken wire fencing around the clematis and a couple of the rowdy ones were starting to get snarled up in it so it was time and hopefully the bunnies have found something else to chew on. There's a ton of work that needs to be done out there yet, the weeds are getting a little too happy about the sunshine and the hydrangeas need the dead wood cut off. We had a baseball game tonight and we didn't freeze, in fact, I think I got my arm sunburned. It's been 80 for the last 3 days but supposed to be cooler, only low 70s for the next few days. Baseball again tomorrow and Thursday, making up rain games, and then volleyball Saturday & Sunday. Until we get the garden caught up, I may be kind of MIA in here, only 2 weeks until my surgery and besides the garden, I have to get my layouts for this month & challenge for next month ready.

Thanks, Trudy! I actually did a google search and found out what prawns are!
Sure would hate to see you leave the CT, but you have to do what you need to do for you....and DH! ;)
