The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
HelloooOOO O-Fam!
Did everyone make it through Monday in decent shape? I was on Day Three of Tindamax and I think my memory is slidin' on down. Uh-oh. The first thing happened as soon as I got home from the grocery store, I thought I was missing a bag of refrigerator items. After looking all over, then in the car, I thought for sure I would have to call and see if it was still at ShopRite. As I finished putting away the food, there it was-- already in the fridge and I had no clue I did it. Then last night, I went to put my moisturizer, and the bottle is gone. I had finished one bottle the other day and this was the same brand. I cleaned my bathroom earlier and I think I threw out both bottles. Or I think I threw out one bottle and then put the other one in recycling. I dunno... I wasn't about to go outside in my PJs at night to see if it was in the bucket, fingers crossed I remember to check for it this morning.

I worked on my taxes yesterday but I didn't file them. I'll go over them today, double-check my math, make sure I am not missing anything, and then I'll be done. That was the "easy" software activity. PS and ACDSee are still not working right. I have done everything I can think of to fix it other than un-/re-install. I really don't want to go that route. But it should not take me an hour to scrap a page with 1 paper and only a few elements, just waiting for files to load. :stupicpc:

I am getting my hair cut/colored/hiding the greys this morning. I think I am going to ask for some long bangs again. My hair is thinning along my forehead and since it's almost always in ponytail I am feeling self-conscious.

I guess I should post and get and to personals :lovey3:

After the last few winters in Virginia with pretty much no snow, this winter is dumping on us, with another 5" expected tomorrow. Fortunately, by now the sun is high enough it will melt quickly. We have crocuses blooming in the lawn, so spring is on the way.
Yuck about the snow but yippeeee about the crocuses!!! Between the flowers and the spring flag, you sure are ready for Spring. It is 17* here and I would love to see some signs of spring.
I am fighting with my iPad to get IOS updated, which has required me to uninstall virtually every app to get enough memory free.
I feel your pain. Good luck!

One of the little faery houses we made-- this is from 2004 :p

I have to call all of the widows today and tell them tomorrow's meeting is postponed to next week due to inclement weather predictions for tomorrow.

HA! Actually, NO! I pictured you as a wonderful teacher caring only to make her students learn while having fun!
That's too bad that the weather isn't cooperating for your meeting :(
That's a much nicer image than me as a Tech-Bro TED talker, more accurate too LOL!
HAT is totally cute! And I loved the "street" one shown in the video! Did you watch it? I might have to invest in that one! It is something I think Mark and I would really enjoy working on together!
I saw a little of the video! I'll try to take pictures of what I have done so far so you can get a better idea. Right now, I am assembling the pieces that go inside --there are a lot of them and they are *small.* But it's been fun!

also have to get our DD's return flight booked today and guess what?? We are going to be flying back with her and spend about week with her and the boys. I almost fell over when my Gary said we should go!! Guess he realizes that he will have lots of time on his hands and it might be the only time we see the boys this summer. Heather is not bringing them with her when she flys out for my brother's Celebration of life. So I better get busy and get the flights booked before he changes his mind :giggle4: .
OMG!!!! dance3 That is the best news!!!!!! Retirement is already working out well!!!!

Yep! I've been doing the books for 15 years without one single $ paid. They just started rewarding us with concessions about 3 years ago. To be honest, I love high school basketball!

I am feeling much better after a few muscle relaxants and rest with a heating pad.

We met October 8, 1993 and got married January 9, 1994. We've been married for 31 years.

Looking good for 39!!
That's a long time to do that. What do you do in the off-season?
Happy (belated) anniversary. And thank you, I've been 39 for a few *clears throat* years now. Just a few *winks*

But, it's beautiful! How are you finding the building of it?
The first step- with the lights was confusing - but I figured it out with help from my Gary. The directions are not always written clearly, you can tell that they were run through a translator. I am having fun with it. My issue is going to be the actual building of it. I have no patience and even less spatial awareness so that is gonna be the challenge. I might end up with a box of itty bitty birdhouses and flowers, but no actual faery house. We'll see :D

@faerywings oh my...I'm glad you found the elusive groceries. I was talking to a friend last night she said her doctor told her as we age our brain gets smaller and the skull fills with a body fluid....well I said that is a good excuse for when I cannot remember something- it was in the other part of my brain that shrunk!!!

Fertilized some plants yesterday and picked more tomatoes and oranges. The crows have been raiding my loquat tree so I won't have much fruit and I'm disappointed because I wanted to make chutney again.. We moved our old sleeper loveseat out to get ready for the new dual recliners w/console that gets delivered tomorrow.

Snow has started and is coming down heavy. Pick your number, will it be 3" or 11"? The weather guys are all over the map on this one. But everything I was supposed to do was canceled so I'm going to work on scrapbook pages. You folks talking about taxes are not motivating me in that direction.

I have no patience and even less spatial awareness so that is gonna be the challenge.
That is ME with Ikea instructions. And just about everything else any more. I want words, darn it! I know they do that so they don't have to translate into 20 different languages, but I'm selfish. Give me some English. I guess this it the universe getting back at me for always excelling at the language tasks.

Not what will I defrost for a warm dinner on a cold, snowy day? I think chili will be good. Off to the freezer.

Good Morning O family! It is a very cold morning here! Minus 10C which is 14F :cold::brrr:!! Trying to warm up the kitchen and have the electric fireplace running behind me, but my fingers are cold and I have to wrap them around my nice warm cup of coffee. It won't be nice and warm for long! I am still trying to book our flights and of course the website is down this morning. I looked most of the day for good flights and sale prices and it seems that we will have to fly to Toronto and then get a car rental and drive to Mitchell, which isn't too far away. We were going to get a rental anyway. Sure hope the site gets up and running soon! SIL Linda and I are headed over to the In-Laws for an afternoon of taking apart a wedding dress LOL. It is SIL Sharon's (my Gary's youngest sister) wedding dress and it has a lot of bling on it!! I will keep some of it for my mixed media projects and probably SIL Linda will want some too. Not sure what MIL will do with the rest, but she loves to collect stuff :giggle4:. It will be good to just visit and pick away at this dress! It was packaged up after Sharon got married ( they divorced a year later) almost 30 years ago and its been sitting in my crawlspace ever since MIL and FIL moved across the street, its the style with the big poofy arms and all kinds of sequins etc everywhere! It might take us a long time to pull it all apart! Oh well what else do we do on a cold wintery day?

Uggh on the gremlins still in your computer! I sure hope you can get things figured out! It is like me with my wacom tablet, I just can't get it to work properly and I really miss using it for scrapping! Hope the memory improves for you soon, that is too funny about the groceries, it sounds like my brain on most days! :giggle4: Good plan to re-check everything with your taxes, yup its just about that time for us to file ours too, just waiting for a few more things to come first.

I think that with the tariffs happening that is one thing that most Canadians will be missing is the oranges/juice. You are lucky you can just go out and pick some! sorry that the crows are taking all your fruit for your chutney, you need a scarecrow I guess?! How nice to have new furniture coming, we are due for a new set too, it never ends, its always something that has to be replaced!

Sure hope you don't end up with 11" of snow today! A good day to work on scrapbook pages though! Yes I am glad I am not doing the taxes too, its my DH's job thankfully!!

Ok my fingers are freezing, its time for another cup of coffee and hopefully the website to book our flights is up and running again. Have a lovely day everyone! :waving3:

Good morning ladies. I was MIA yesterday, took Remi over to a friend's for a doggie play date in the early morning and then came home to work on jewelry stuff and then was off for dinner and bingo. Didn't win any bingo but won on the 50/50 dray (a $25 grocery gift card). Quite a few ladies won at our table. Fun night!

Today is euchre at the club and then home for the rest of the day. We were supposed to go to a cornhole toss tournament tonight but I decided to stay home. I want to binge the final 3 episodes of Teacup tonight and relax.

I got a new personal blender, can't find my Magic Bullet anywhere. I feel like it might have gotten tossed during the move. Happy to have gotten a new one though b/c it is bigger and much more powerful. I won't have to drag the big blender out as much now. This little one can sit on the counter. I've been blending up cottage cheese to put in a lot of recipes. My fave right now is scrambled eggs with a bit of protein powder, cream and cottage cheese. Parmesan garlic hot sauce overtop.

@faerywings I gave up on acdsee quite awhile ago. It kept glitching on me. I just use PS Bridge now. I hate that I can't see folder previews but I haven't found a way to change that but at least Bridge is stable and works every time for me.

@taxed4ever Hope you find a good flight. Stay indoors and be warm. Our temps are warming up to mid minus teens this week and then by the end of the month up to 0...I'm ready for it LOL. I love the look of our blue sky/white snow landscape but could use a bit more warmth :)

Got to hop in the shower and get going. HAGD everyone.

In the off-season I scrap and crochet. I love crocheting blankets and I enter them into the Missouri State Fair. I've entered the last 3 years and have one 1st place, two 2nd place, and two 3rd place. It's really fun going to the fair to see you fared. (LOL see what I did there!)

Thank you for the anniversary wishes! I honestly don't feel like it's been 31 years!

I showed the faery house and the other project to Mark and told him I thought it would be a fun project for us to do together. He agreed, but I guess we will probably wait to purchase the kit(s) until after we get this stupid car taken care of! Have to take it back to the shop tomorrow night after church.
