CHEERY O
:fairy2:~~~~~~>
That's me sitting in front of the therapy light right now. I would rather be  but wearing sunglasses would defeat the purpose.
Sooo- how was everyone's Tuesday? Mine was busy, cold, long, fun, and satisfying.
I was busy pretty much non-stop and it was long because I started running around before 8 am and didn't stop until after 8 pm.
It was cold but it is going to get colder tomorrow. Not looking forward to that.

Work went well! I mean-- we played in the dirt for 2.5 hours, what's not to love about that? We talked about the different types of soil. I had some soil and clay samples for them to smell and touch. We went outside to get some soil samples and added water to the jars, shook them up and they *should* show the layers of soil when we meet up next week. They loved the cracker erosion activity. Again-- mess around with food and then eat it when they are done? It's a win. I was able to bribe them-- errr-- incentivize them-- yes, incentivize them-- to pay attention so we could make mud slime at the end of the session. It was my first time making slime (glue, liquid starch, and for this lesson-- mud) and it sure made a mess but they were yelling excitedly and were super happy to be able to bring it home. I "apologized" to the parents when they picked up but all of them said mud and dirt aren't issues for them. Good thing because the kids will be messy when they are done with me :p

BFF asked me to thank all of you for your good thoughts and prayers. She really appreciated it. She will get the results in 3-5 business days and then will go from there. I'm trying not to worry about her but it's really hard. I love her with all of my heart and soul... I know you all understand.

Scott and Sam were babysitting Sara's kids because Sue (Sam's mom) hurt herself and couldn't watch them while Sara was still at work. They brought the kiddos here for dinner and I got a little bit of a baby fix holding Sophia. And Logan, man- he is hysterical in that way a 2 1/2 yo is. He was just pointing out random things and saying words. Doggy! Table! Treeee! Sam brought them back to her sisters and then we decorated the tree together. As our tradition, we watched a Christmas show after. Since it was late, we looked for a TV episode instead of a movie. Pro Tip: Do not waste your time watching the 2020 Looney Tunes Christmas on Hulu. We laughed, but it was more of an uncomfortable laugh than a ha-ha laugh.

All in all, it was a good day and exhausting day and I get to do it again today.
Cleaning for my friend this morning and then working on scrapping/Christmas/baking this afternoon.

I can't tell if it is the time of year, the weather, or the Lyme meds but I am feeling *it* -- my body is not happy with me and my joints are stiffer than usual. Wish me luck today.
Silver lining: I am not cleaning for my weapons friend today- my toes will be safe! :floorlaugh:

It took me *forever* to write that-- again, it's hard to tell if it is just being tired or Lyme but my brain is going blank when I try to find a word. :/

@vickyday 1/2" of snow on the grass is about all I will accept around Christmas but I imagine it puts you in Christmas spirit!
TY for the prayers ♥
I bet you slept well again, it's gonna take a day or so to catch up on that sleep, especially after being busy with all of the stuff that was on your To Do list. Hope you got everything done!
Any news about the car?

@taxed4ever have fun on the hike today, I hope that it isn't too cold and windy out there.
Were you able to do what you had to do yesterday and get lots crossed off of your to-do list?
It's hard this time of year, the more you cross off, the more space there is for new things to be added :/
yes, I love the smell of the tree- hate the needles and watering. I get the smell and the mess is on Caitlyn and Tom Hehe

@bcgal00 ooooh, how pretty the bracelets and centerpieces are! They are just amazing!!!

@AK_Tracy Kitchen islands are like purses. The stuff on/in them expands to the size of the island/purse.YKWIM?
I'm sorry your mush mash brained. Plug in your lamp. Is this partly a side effect from the meds?
I don't know, I get SAD every year and have used therapy lamps for 20 years or so. Could it be from Lyme-Brain? Maybe. LLMD said that based on my pupil dilation/reactions she suspects brain inflammation and my POTS symptoms are -- not a lot of fun ATM.
I wish I knew what was what.

Its 32 and raining and blowing and just NASTY outside. So not normal temps and weather this year.
be safe out there!!

@BrightEyes keep the coffee coming!!! I am going to need a *lot* today-- overcaffeination be damned. LOL
That's awesome that you were able to change the photo to best match the kit. Blending in PS is my answer to everything LOL

@scrap-genie Hi jean!! Less than 20 days to longer sunlight (but who is counting? :lol23: )

waving hi to everyone!

PS: Ignore the typos, I am running very far behind! Gotta run!

Woke up just before 5AM but stayed snuggled under the covers for awhile. Then I staggered into the kitchen to get a pot of coffee on... :coffee1: and turn the heat up. Brrr... below freezing outside again today. :coffeedrinker:Ah...that helps the brain to wake up! @faerywings and @AK_Tracy - coffee is ready whenever you can drop by and grab a cup. :drinks2:

Chris, when we lived on Long Island, NY our apartment was dark... only got sunlight in 1 bedroom window. I got SADD especially in the winter. Wish I had known about therapy lights as I am sure it would have helped.
Yes, I am so happy with how good the photo color blending worked. You can see it in the gallery this morning... Day 4 - Same Photo Challenge. The kit was a blend of browns and black/white/gray. Oh... I also uploaded a LO with a large version of the Letters/Characters that I use for Day 3 - Word Art Challenge.

I remembered yesterday to call in a refill to the base pharmacy... it should be ready on Friday. :D But that is also the quarterly used Books and DVDs sale ($1-$3) at the local library. Will hit the book sale then see if I have enough time and/or feel like doing the pharmacy and commissary run. If I am too tired, I will wait and go on Monday. Forecast is a possibility of snow on Tuesday!!

Be back later...

Good Morning to Everyone! Happy Wednesday!
Finally finished my page for the Day 12 Challenge this morning! I almost had it done when we left the house yesterday to meet Mark's daughter to go with her to the CarMax place to look at a car. She is getting a 2019 (I think) Toyota 4Runner off road vehicle. Beautiful car! With all of the problems we are having with my Equinox.....I kinda got the new-car fever! We certainly can't afford what she is paying for the Toyota, however! Anyway........I'm still hoping after the mechanic figures out the problem with mine that it will be like a new vehicle and last for many more years! But Mark's is about to die so he is thinking we will have to buy a new one and he will take the Equinox as his work vehicle. I hate car payments!

No plans but scrapping today. I should work on laundry but I'm not in the mood, LOL! I want to catch up on the Event challenges! I also need to make a new siggy. I did get my avatar done yesterday!

It's cold and sunny here again today!
Stay warm and have a great day!

BFF asked me to thank all of you for your good thoughts and prayers.
I am continuing to pray for good results! :praying2:
I know you all understand.
Totally! :hug3: BFFs are one of a kind!
All in all, it was a good day and exhausting day and I get to do it again today.
Hope you have another good day!
I can't tell if it is the time of year, the weather, or the Lyme meds but I am feeling *it* -- my body is not happy with me and my joints are stiffer than usual.
Are the meds something that your body will become adjusted to so that you don't feel so achey eventually?
1/2" of snow on the grass is about all I will accept around Christmas but I imagine it puts you in Christmas spirit!
HA! I hear ya! However, I do like ONE good snow that gives me the opportunity to get some pretty pictures to scrap and then it can go away for the rest of the year.....winter!
TY for the prayers ♥
Praying for you and your BFF! :hug3:
I bet you slept well again, it's gonna take a day or so to catch up on that sleep, especially after being busy with all of the stuff that was on your To Do list. Hope you got everything done!
Yes, I did sleep well again! And hard, apparently, because I was ready to get up before Mark's alarm went off!
The ToDo list, however......HA! I ended up spending most of the day working on my sample layout for my Day 12 challenge!
Any news about the car?
Not a word! :banghead:

Good Morning my O family! It is very foggy and dark out there! I am up earlier than usual and saw my DH off to work, I am usually still in the nice warm bed when he leaves. :sleeping2:. Big announcement from him yesterday, he let them know at work that he will be retiring in March of this year!! I nearly fell off my chair when he told me!! He feels its time, he has a big court case that he has to deal with at work in January and it could drag on for a month or so. So he decided that March would be the time to pack it in. They asked if he would be willing to be a casual worker and he said he would think about it. He will be 71 in February and I think he is just finally ready. Anyway yesterday did not go as I had planned (what else is new!!). I ended up driving the In-Laws to the Notary to sign some papers which is about 20 miles away, they were happy to have a driver! It was a beautiful sunny morning, so it was a great day to do that! Right back home afterward and then I ran out in the afternoon to pick up a few stocking stuffers. Needless to say I did not get any scrapping done. Today will most likely be a write off too as I am headed out for my hike, which will take at least 3-4hours hopefully I will be home in time to at least try to get some scrapping done.

It does sound like you had a great day with the kids, playing in the mud!! What's not to like about that :giggle4:. I am sorry you are feeling stiff and sore today, could it be possibly because you are not 25 anymore :exitroom: no offense LOL I hope your therapy light works its magic and you get a full dose of caffeine today! Shame on me I forgot to send good wishes to your BFF but I am sending a ton now!! Hoping for good news for her! :loveangel:

Thanks Kay I will take a cup of that coffee this morning too! Brrr its chilly here too, but the sun is coming out again today and it should warm up nicely for my hike!

Uggh I hate car payments too, sure hope that your vehicle will be just like new again and you won't have to have those payments! Have fun today scrapping!!

I gotta run and get dressed in many layers for this hike! Oh and I better remember to make sure I have my hand warmers handy too. Have a great day everyone! :waving3:

Good morning ladies. We're heading to a potluck lunch before canasta today. It'll be a fun afternoon. Not sure if we'll go to crib tonight, we've been out a lot lately and I might want to just relax at home after dinner. We'll see. My jewelry light/magnifier comes today so I'm looking forward to using it. I found out another new friend here also designs jewelry so it'll be fun to chat with her about it soon.

We were watching a buck cross the road twice, maybe looking for his herd. He spent about half an hour watching and looking around before finally heading out into the trees. That got me googling info about deer as I sat watching him. I read that fawn are often left alone by the mom for 4-6 weeks after birth so she can go hunt for food and they are relatively safe b/c they don't give off any scent for predators. I took a few pics of him from the deck so can do a page about him.

@faerywings Sorry to hear you are feeling off, hopefully it's short lived. Take it easy, don't push yourself too hard.

@taxed4ever Finally, G is going to retire! Hope he enjoys it but at least he will have an option for part time work if he wants it. D has been offered part time often by his work friend out here but he definitely has settled into retirement and never wants to work again. Enjoy your hike.

@vickyday Enjoy your scrapping day! I hope my SUV lasts many years, I hate car shopping and spending so much money.

I'm going to go create a challenge page before getting ready to go out for the day.

@bcgal00 Trudy and Rae! I sure hope.....whenever that may be.....that by the time the mechanic figures everything out that my car will be like new! But, hubby is really needing a new car or a lot of money put into fixing the one he has, so I think a new-to-us car is in our not-so-far-future, regardless of what happens to mine!

Good Morning O Sisters!
Its an ugh weather day. The good news, I can hear the rain which means the snow has all slid off the roof. The bad news, I can hear the rain. :banghead::censored: Its gonna be a messy one today.

:fairy2:~~~~~~>
That's me sitting in front of the therapy light right now.
Good Girl! Get that light going and feel better sooner.
I hope you start feeling like your amazing self soon. That the meds kick in and your body adjusts and joints aren't so stiff. Nothing worse then stiff joints and still having to do life.

Thanks for the coffee!!!! Will you please please send me back my weather?? Its 34 and raining. We were almost 40 yesterday and today is to be the same.

car payments........:sad2: I hope you get your car all figured out and fixed.
Big announcement from him yesterday, he let them know at work that he will be retiring in March of this year!! I nearly fell off my chair when he told me!!
WOOO HOOOO!!!!!! I hope he doesn't drive you too crazy with retirement.

Its Wednesday already. Feels like the week is flying by. Today we're trying a new recipe. Hoping my conversions are on point and it turns out. Well must get more coffee, daily download and see what fun challenge/game is on tap. Have a wonderful day!
