Worked on a layout and it just wasn't coming together??? Have you ever hit "close all" and started over?? I don't do it very often, but when I just can't "get it" I will do that.

I sometimes have to do that and it's usually because I'm working with a kit that just doesn't work for what I'm trying to do. It's like reading a bad book, why bother finishing it!

I don't/can't delete the LO itself. I'll make a copy, strip it down, and try again.
Sometime in the future, many years from now, I'll go through my hard drive and delete all of those pages that didn't work. (maybe)

Been there done that... many times... sometimes it's because I've got the wrong kit... sometimes template/page design...

and sometimes I start a page with a theme in mind and end up scrapping something completely different using the kit/template I was going to use... and the original idea gets shelved for a while...

Oh, yeah... been there, done that. One trick I use is have some blank pages opened when I start to work with a kit. If I am having problems I will go to another blank page and change the photo or whatever is not working and see if that helps. It is not uncommon to discover that the photo I first chose was the problem... or the mask or frame wasn't working. And occasionally I will just save it and walk away for a time to come back later and be able to create a LO then.

You pretty much described why I have problems, Barbara. Either that or the "vision" I had just doesn't work out.

I don't always delete mine, but I will if I just don't like anything about it.

You just about summed up all of my "start-overs", Olga. That's also what I refer to as "my vision". Sometimes, it just won't work out and I have to abandon it.

lots of times! but I do use the save button first. I don't know why because I hardly ever open them up again. Starting over is quicker and easier!

Oh more than a few times! Life is too short to read bad books and struggle with a scrapbook layout that doesn't want to come together.

I have a small workaround instead of trashing an entire page.

I had a page that I was happy with the design itself. I wasn't pleased with the kit and colors even after color adjustments/blending. Nothing looked right other than where I placed the photos and elements. Instead of starting from scratch, I kept dragging new papers from a bunch of different kits over the background. I turned the visibility on and off until one of the papers felt right. I finished off the page by swapping out the elements with ones from the one that the paper was in.
