The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hello, and how are you today? I am pretty sore after my fall-flat-on-my-face-thankyouverymuchJaida yesterday. Nowhere near as bad as it was the last time she did that to me so that is a plus.
I can't get over how fast and slow that September went. At the same time. It feels like yesterday that I was warning you all how I can't type September yet it was ages ago when I was down the shore. The weather got pretty autumn-y very quickly here too.

Did you all do everything that you needed to do this month? I think I did. I'm telling you, the To-Do list has been a godsend. and I am going to step up my game in Oct. I know we have to get the house ready for the Big Day (Oct 31!) and the list will keep me on track *fingers crossed*
Gary gets a *tiny bit* (100% snark there) obsessed with the yard decorations so I don't have to do anything big outside. :D I think that the skeletons on the roof are going to be the focus this year and I know he has some pieces and parts he is working on in the basement.

I got everything done that I had written down yesterday even if there were a few hiccups along the way. My Dr called and wants me to see a specialist for a couple of Rxs that she wasn't comfortable refilling. I have enough to get me through another month or so but I am thinking that maybe t is time for me to start weaning off of them. I take Xanax and Trazadone to help me sleep- have taken them for years since my brain got so "irritable" due to Lyme. Literally, it was inflamed, MRI and SPECT scans all lit up. I stopped the Neurontin last year so I think this is a good step. If it doesn't work, then I will have to try seeing a specialist.

Other than that, it was a boring day- I did get some really nice snuggles with Liv and Dill. Livvie had me worried, every time I went to see her she was sleeping hard. I am used to her always running around. But I guess when you are a rat and 3 yo, it is bound to happen. She still is chuckling like crazy and boggling with her one regular-sized eye and the other atrophied one. Looks ridiculous LOL

Not much is happening today, My cleaning schedule got a bit messed up. I try to do one house but they are now both next week. It will work itself out eventually and it isn't like I can't do 2 houses in one week. It only makes the off weeks feel longer. *shrugs* no biggie

Have a wonderful day!

Kay- I don't know how he does it, every year Gary finds a way to make the yard even kookier and spookier than the year before. As you probably guessed, I have a hard time enjoying "wasted days" - they are never as satisfying as they seem in the movies or in other people's lives.
That is the truth, no way could I do the neck-rolling either and all that. I should have grabbed a heat pack yesterday.
It has been getting into the same temp range here too overnight and it makes it so much harder to roll out of bed in the mornings.
High five on the inventories!

Sorry @Cherylndesigns for making you hungry
I hope that your skeleton gets there today! He must be suffocating in the packaging on the delivery truck. hah
Your porch is going to look amazing and those mums are gorgeous and will bloom wonderfully! Love the different pumpkins in between.

@nancyr Same here, I like it when it is in the 80s. Luther must be thrilled though and he is a good boy to walk with. How neat to be watching the movie and recognize the area where you have been.
That is a tough decision about going to the games. Did you get the booster shot yet? But the kids are who I most worry about too. How are your DS's stepkids doing at school? I am thrilled that my kids aren't in the HS anymore, the town was in the news yet again for having the most cases in the school. One outbreak and over 50 cases due to that. So many "Unmask Our Kids" lawn signs in the town. Other towns seem to be doing fine.
Haha!!! NJ *is* weird. Pasta sauce vs gravy. Taylor Ham vs Pork roll. :D:D:D

@vickyday LOL!!! I hope that you have an easier time on the stairs than our skeletons.
I completely understand the issue of layers in the cold vs the heat. But for me, once my toes get cold, I can't get warm no matter how many layers I have on. It is painful for me to be cold and not painful when I am hot. I know that is opposite than most people though

@tanteva One of these days I am going to have to watch the Sopranos just to see what BS they are spreading about NJ and Italians. hahaha We are NOT weird, just look at me. Normal. Totally normal.
How did work go today? Did the coworker say anything to you? Nope, you are no rat. (Not that being a rat--as in a cute little mammal - is a bad thing. Their reputations are ruined.... )
Good luck to Marten having the house top himself today!

Hugs to you all!

Lunch break. Well, since I'm on the last shift, my lunch is between 2-3 pm, a bit later than normal but it's ok. Coworker not here, and everyone else is behaving well. Almost a bit too well lol.

Went to the boss today, to hand in my report, and ended up getting another shift tomorrow. Of course, I get extra work when it's DSD. Lol.

Hoping to get a little scrapping done tonight, but I guess I'll be too tired. I could fall asleep right here right now.

Love to see all the skeletons here. I might have to start celebration Halloween. :)

I am up and moving early this AM... discovered that the pharmacies here are giving the Covid Booster shots. Got on-line right away and made an appointment for this morning to get mine. Hoorah... no long wait in a line! Hoping the side-effects won't be too bad. Didn't think about it being DSD weekend when I made the appointment. And it is the start of the month with the new challenges.... October is always a fun challenge month.

Chris, so sorry to hear about your face-plant... and glad it wasn't as bad as the last one. Of course, you still had to deal with the mud and getting cleaned up afterward. <<< hugs >>> Looks like Gary is off to a great start on his Halloween decorations with the skeletons.

Eva, glad the co-worker wasn't at work so you didn't have to deal with her. Hope you can get some scrapping done but understand when tiredness hits you need to take a break.

Trudy, glad you were able to get a hike in. I know you enjoy them so much.

Vicky Day, I agree... I can always add more layers when it is cold but can only take off so much when it is hot. But I am hoping that the temps stay in the 60's so I don't have to turn the heat on for a few more weeks.

Cheryl, love the fall decorations you have already. Know they will look wonderful once you get everything set up. Hope the shoulder/arm is feeling better and healing quickly.

Gotta run and get ready to head out. CYL

Morning ladies... It is a very rainy and cool morning. Our hike yesterday was to Stoney Hill Provincial Park a very popular hiking area that is very near to where we live. It was however a very, very blustery day and it rained on and off, so I was glad that I had on all my rain gear! I was happy that my raincoat kept me pretty dry, my boots seem to be waterproof and I was smart enough to have some mitts in my backpack! It was not ideal hiking weather, but still I was glad that I got out and got the exercise! The wind just about blew us away when we got to the lookout spots on our hike, so we decided to find a nice spot away from the wind for our lunch. There were 13 of us on the hike, a pretty good number since the weather was so bad. When I got home I had a nice hot bath and soaked my bones LOL. DH is home today as it is a holiday here in Canada. Our first National Day for Truth and Reconciliation. So he will be underfoot all day LOL. Hoping to hear from Heather today and hoping that the boys are both feeling better and are back in school today. They both had very sore throats and Mason had a cough, sure hope it was just a cold and nothing more!

@faerywings - Chris Sorry to hear that you had another face plant!! Like you said at least it was in the mud and not the asphalt and thank goodness not in dog poop!! Loved the video of the latest yard decorations for Halloween! You guys sure love Halloween!! So fun! Your Gary has such a good imagination for the yard decorating! I hope you can get off of the RX that you are still taking! You seem to be doing so well these days, it sure would be nice if you could get off of all meds!! Hope that you are not too stiff and sore from your fall! A good day to just take it easy and do a lot of nothing!

@nancyr - my DH is sure happy to see hockey back on! He is frustrated with the coverage here though as they are not showing his Bruins, so I guess we will be getting another subscription to IPTV so he can see all his games! I totally agree with your rant about the goalie, he should be thinking of all the fans and the kids especially! Makes it very hard to decide if you want to see the games and be in the stands. Hope you and Luther have another great walk today and that the temps are a bit warmer for you!

@Cherylndesigns - I just love the fall decorations that you have chosen! I need to get my front porch decorated soon, but I still have one huge pot of petunias that still look so good that I can't bring myself to get rid of them yet LOL.

@tanteva - Hope that Marten is healthy now that he is off his meds! Glad that the co-worker was not on your last shift at work! I am sure you will be doing a lot of scrapping this weekend!

@BrightEyes - Kay how great that you are getting your booster shot! No word yet here on when we will be getting ours. Nice that you do not have to wait in a long line up and I hope that you have no side effects from your shot! So many beautiful Autumn kits to be had here at the O! It's sure to be a great month for challenges and gorgeous layouts! I know you will be busy scrapping too!

Ok DH has put in a request for soft boiled eggs this morning. Off to make some breakfast and then get my online grocery order in for pickup tomorrow. Have a great day everyone!

I have attended more HOA meetings this week than I did the entire time I lived in my other house and I lived in that house for 10 years. They want to raise our fees a total of $400 for the year next year and want feedback, but won't send me what I need to give feedback......I'm glad we are building a new house.... I'm so ever this *&*(*!!!!***** fees..... It's always so easy to spend someone else's money..... and there is another meeting tonight and I'm going to treat it like school and not go.

LOL, Chris! Not really! Sometimes I have to "bounce" just like your skeleton.....until I get enough momentum going to make that first step. Then I have to wait for my left knee to decide it wants to hold my weight before I move on up the other steps! Whoever said growing old is not for sissies sure knew what they were talking about! ;)

Afternoon all.

Adrienne and Lila came down for their morning coffee (well, not Lila) and Lila decided to stay and hang out with Daisy. The housecleaners came yesterday and our house looks so clean today! They're SO sweet - there are 3 of them and they divide and conquer. They're in and out of here pretty quickly. They're cleaning all 3 of our houses now. We're looking for somebody to help us outside now. They said they'd try to find somebody. The kids would help, but we hate to ask them. They're all so busy right now - Braden has football and weight training every day and Alyssa is starting track today. They're both in the Homecoming Ceremony tomorrow night, so we'll be going to the game. With my arm in a sling, I'm afraid to climb up the metal bleachers, so I guess I'll just have them put me in a folding chair down by the fence. Lots of people sit down there, so it will be fine.

Chris @faerywings you've got to stop faceplanting. You're lucky you didn't break your nose or knock out a tooth. That's probably what would happen to me. You just wanted to copy me, didn't you? BWAHAHA You just HAD to steal my thunder. hahahaha

Esther @mywisecrafts no other state has HOA's like Florida - I swear! People can't believe what some of them are like. They're tyrants - my DD had to dig up all of newly planted flowers because they were the wrong color. They used to get citations on a regular basis. Their house was on a corner and got lots of attention. We got a few right before we moved - our car was "hanging over the end of the driveway" one night. They used to troll at night.

I do hope my skeleton arrives today - yes, Chris, he must be awfully hot cramped up in that box.

I'm not going to do anymore personals today, it still puts my shoulder in an awkward position to type and it's starting to ache. I have figured out how to prop it up to just move my mouse, but haven't mastered using the keyboard yet. I'm just happy that I can type at all.

Waving to all and sending hugs.
