The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
GooooOd Morning, O-Fam!!
I am trying to be all smiley and positive this morning. I am off to the grocery store in a while and I have no dinner ideas. You all know how I feel about that, yuck. It doesn't help that my brain feels about the same density as the air. Humid and yucky and poor air quality, We have all of these weather alerts coming through and are supposed to get some big t-storms tonight. Scott is not thrilled-- he has to work at the County Fair tonight on Parking Lot duty. He has to go in his regular Ranger uniform plus wear a reflective vest so it's going to be pretty gross. I was teasing him that if he isn't allowed to bring a water bottle he should fake going down. He semi-joked back that if he wasn't allowed to bring a water bottle, he wouldn't be faking.

The sun did come out yesterday and it was very hot and today is supposed to be worse. If I get back from food shopping early enough, I will try to do some yard work, I saw a bunch of cucumbers that are ready to be picked. If not I am not sure what I will do. *shrugs* Always trying to catch up on housework and laundry no matter what else is happening in life. I heard back from my ADCSee IT buddy and he asked what the specs on the computer and hard drives are and I had to figure out what he was asking, then go to the Dell and Western Digital websites to find the answers. I *think* I pulled it off that I knew a little of what we were talking about.
So far *knocks wood* so good- I think I passed the three-day window of it crashing.

HAGD!! Stay cool!!

Ok, I got this! Out of the shower and almost ready to go.
*deep breath in-- sings a few lines from Eye of the Tiger, punches the air... gets winded.....some more deep breaths but for a different reason LOL!!!*

Some quick personals while I try to catch my breath

@tanteva you Swedes have some great senses of humor too, but still-- cannot imagine how you all walk in the snow in clogs!
Those are some comfy-looking Docs. I have tried so hard to beat up the leather ones but I can't. I'd probably have to wear them every day for a year to even make them look a tiny bit beat up. Cait got a pair of Vegan "leather" Docs but they got too beat up and the "leather" peeled up. I wore them for a bit but then ended up tossing them out. It was sad.

Kay- It had to be bittersweet to see the end of the Chapter. I hope that you took it nice and easy and that your back stayed "unspasmed."

@vickyday look at the fancy shoes! I used to wear heels all of the time, run around high school/college in 5" spikes, now-- not a chance!!!LOL
How is the headache today, feel better!

@Cherylndesigns Ack!!! I would love to learn how to scuba dive-- but in clear ocean waters. That would make me feel claustrophobic too and I would be one of the people being dragged back onshore.
Oh my!! Now I have that image out you in the little white hat!! Did you see Season 4 of Fargo?

Good luck driving with Alyssa today. I taught both of my kids to drive, don't think I have it in me to do that again!

@scrap-genie That is so awesome about seeing the group in person! IMNon-HumbleO- I think it was very smart to stay masked. This Delta variant seems to be bad news. Always better to be safe than sorry. The hardest part of this pandemic (OK one of *many* hard parts) is that by the time you learn about the newest "trend" it is already two weeks too late. Does that make sense?
haha!! Oh yes, absolutely no doubt that my anxiety-ridden kids belong to me, I wish it weren't so but at least I am not as bad as my mom (yet) :D

Eva- how cool is that about your g-grandfather!

Today we've had all four seasons in one day! Started with summer, Woke up way before the clock before it was stinkin hot, went downstairs and slept a couple of more hours on the sofa. We went out doing errands, and the sun was shining and it was so hot, I thought I'd die. When we got home, the skies started to darken like it was fall, and soon it was raining. Was just about to write something here in the Daily O's, when the thunder started. Turned off all puters and just when we thought it was over, and we could turn them on again - the sky just opened. Thunder, lightning, raindrops the size of buckets and HAIL! There were even white spots on the grass, like it was winter. Now it's just raining a little bit, like a soft spring rain. There you go - all 4 seasons in one day.

Just got a message from an old school friend. We've known eachother since kindergarten. She just arrived here in my home town, they've been hiking further up north in Sweden, and are stopping here for a couple of nights, before they do back home. (She lives in the Southern parts of Sweden). It will be so nice to meet her, it must be 5 years since last time. We decided to talk tomorrow & decide when & where.

Good afternoon all,

Chris, @faerywings - I'm laughing out loud. No, we didn't see Fargo for some reason. I think we might have started watching it, but didn't like it, Wouldn't I have looked cool??? The nurses today sure don't look like they did back in the day.

The driving session went well. Alyssa did really well, except she asked me if she was supposed to stop at a red stoplight before making a right turn. I said "always!". If nobody else is coming (and they weren't, then you can turn right. There was a car coming toward us in the opposite lane, but it wasn't that close. She wanted to go to Walmart and had the most trouble navigating their parking lot. I told her that everybody did and you have to have eyes in the back of your head in those crazy lots. She did real well. She told me she loved to drive with me because I didn't yell at her. LMBO. She had driven with her mom and her mom's friend who was visiting and apparently they were both telling her what to do at once. She said they made her very nervous. I don't yell. If I think they need to know something, I'll point it out, but she didn't need much. She asked me why everybody tailgated and said they just do. People love to do that. They go around you as soon as they get the chance.

Hope Scott gets along okay in this heat and that he doesn't have to stand out in the rain. Yuck. Now I'm singing The Eye of The Tiger.

Waving to all.

Had planned on going to the base today but as soon as I made a quick stop to run another errand - I knew I shouldn't try going to the base.... the back was yelling at me. So heading for the recliner/massage unit ASAP. I took a DVD back as it wouldn't play although a different DVD played just fine. Lucky for me - they had another DVD so we swapped mine for the other. The guy pointed out to me that it was stamped on the bottom of the back cover - "made in Mexico"! Now I know to avoid getting one of the ones made in Mexico. Also picked up 4 other DVDs so I have something to watch while I rest and recuperate.

I did manage to get 1 Challenge LO done and uploaded yesterday afternoon.
