The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Hey there, O-Fam! How is everyone? I hope that you are doing great! Yes, it is very humid here in NJ but I am so much happier than when I am cold. Poor Gary hates the humidity and has such a hard time breathing in it. Poor me that I had to bury myself under 2 blankets watching TV last night because the AC made me so cold. :p

I had a semi-successful phone call to the state re: my insurance. The successful bit was that I only had to listen to the menu options 2.5 times before I figured out which option to use to speak to a human. Usually, at that point, I am yelling REPRESENTATIVE!!! into the phone. The not-so-good part was that I think we are going to lose eligibility *but* because of the pandemic they are not dropping any one ATM. I have on my to-do list this week to make appts with my GP and my eye Dr.
Caitlyn and I worked out the menu for Casino Night and got totally lost in the WWW for cocktail recipes. There are very few Casino/Poker themed drinks and most of them had gin (yuck).

I have some CT things I need to do this morning and then I am cleaning this afternoon. Leftovers for dinner tonight. Whew. I like the no cooking nights.
HAGD!!

@tanteva I have such mixed feelings about your news and I don't know how well any of it would translate so let me just say that I hope that things will calm down and turn out the best that they can. Has this happened in your govt before?
Good luck getting your scrap mojo back!

@bcgal00 your weekend sounds wonderful! The day at the beach must have been a blast watching all of the dogs playing and swimming. Did you get a lot of photos?

@scrap-genie Hi there! Thanks for popping in, I wasn't too worried about you since I had seen you posting some LOs. It still makes me happy to see you here, however. That is fantastic that DH loves his new camera!! Tell him happy belated b-day from us here. That is good that H&S is going in person too.

@Cherylndesigns I hope my parents can make it to 62 years LOL! Caitlyn asks me on occasion why they don't get divorced. After 57 years, it would lonely to not have someone to bicker with, I suppose :D
The boating sounds like it was a great day and CHcuk had a nice one as well. Oh, no worries- I get the best of all worlds-- I have to wait for months to be seen by my Drs and often I can't find one that is less than an hour from me. Last year, I made an appt for a gun and I couldn't get in to see the NP for 6 months! I was overdue for my mammo and asked if they could just get me an Rx for that, and even with my history of BC, they couldn't get me in any sooner. That reminds me that should make an appt for that as well. Ugh...

Hugs!

Good Tuesday Morning everyone... It is a sunny but very warm day here today. We have had a busy few days! We went to the In-Laws for Father's Day and spent the day on the beach with both of DH's sisters and Scott who is DH's youngest sisters boyfriend. We have not all been together since Covid began. I made them T-Shirts to celebrate and they were a big hit! LOL. Today I have swimming and then will try to keep cool for the rest of the day. Perhaps today will be a good day to finally sit down and work on getting a layout done. I have many other projects on the go however, they need to be completed soon. My sister's birthday is coming up so a card for her, a 65th birthday card for our Son's Mother- In Law so I am busy with stuff and things! Sorry for being so absent here but just wanted to pop in to say hello to everyone and let you know that yes I am still alive LOL. Sounds like everyone is busy also, even if it is just with everyday little things. I will be popping in again at the end of the month to get the coupons and threads ready for next month, then will be busy with getting ready to head to Ottawa and after that will have Isaac and Sadie here for a bit. I will be a happy and busy Grandma! I hope that all of you are doing well, we continue to wait for our second shot but SIL got her txt to make her second appt, so we should be next up in the queue. MIL and FIL had their second. shot the other day and no ill side effects so that is really good news. Have a wonderful day everyone! I am off to swimming my laps.

Happy Noon. LOL I always have to look at my laptop to see what time it is.

We had such a fun day on the lake, Chris! I decided to use pictures from Sunday for my Seasonal Challenge LO. I didn't take a whole lot of pictures and they all looked the same when I got home. Haha Just different trees. Anyway, I found a couple that worked for the challenge.

I know what you mean about the distance to the doctors. We were so spoiled in Florida because we lived in a major area. We had everything (doctor-wise) that we needed. Here? most are an hour away - our primary is here, so hopefully we'll be okay. There are no eye specialists here, which stinks - we had two of the best in Ft. Myers.

Trudy - you are SO talented!!! I LOVE the T-shirts you made everybody!! SO artsy with the arrows - of course, I love arrows on anything. I'll bet everybody loved them!

I'm reporting that I feel ALMOST back to my normal self today! Finally!! It's been a long long time! It rained yesterday, but I still need to get out and look at my flowers. It didn't rain hard enough to do much good - mostly misty rain, but enough to make the day too wet to go out.

I'm going to go post my layouts. I finished 2 of them last night. At least I've felt like scrapping.

Hugs all around and waving to all.

No, he's the first prime minister (since we got suffrage) to be voted down by parliament this way. We've had extra re-election, but not since 1958. This is crazy. Cancel culture has reached the government. The parliament is very divided, and no party have majority. It's a mess - 8 parties, from far-right to far-left. And it's the far-left + far-right that started this crazy - and everyone's whining like little babies, instead of compromizing and get something done. It's kind of a shift in Swedish politics - usually the Social Democrates or the opposition has had majority, and could rule their elected period without problems, but after the last election, no side really got majority - it's been crazy - just what you need during a pandemic.

Just got home from work - really tired. I usually work 6 hrs when I work, but today was a long day 8 hrs 15 min. Not used to that. But I really don't complain, It's an easy work, and it's fun to help people find books they want.

Been a busy day. Off to the city library to turn in a couple of books and check-out a few more. Then over to the senior Citizen Center to their library and picked up several books. Do you see the trend here??? LOL Have to have some books to read! Stopped at Smith's Pharmacy to get my Pneumovax 23 booster before heading home.... only to run into a detour on the way home. The road I usually take - only 1/2 mile from my house - was closed on our side - so had to detour almost 2 miles to get to my house. What a pain... and there was another short section of 1-lane only on that road. Road work is going on all over town so keep having to detour alot. Was really glad to get back to the house and into the coolness. It is already @ 97* ... so much for a 'cooler' day. And the smoke is even worse today. The good thing about wearing a mask when I am out is that it helps cut the smoke abit.

While I was getting my shot, I talked to the Pharmacist about the Shingles shot. Turns out that my insurance does cover it and they have a supply again. So will be getting it in about a month.... then it will be time for the annual flu shot the next month. Glad to know the time between the shots so I can schedule them.

Eva, so sorry to hear about your government's problems. Hoping things will settle down there soon.

Chris, looking forward to seeing what your family comes with for your Theme night.... sounds intriguing and fun.

Hey, Trudy... great to see you popping in again. Wow... you have been busy with the family.

Gotta go figure out what to fix for supper. Too hot to cook - guess I will see what is in the freezer that I can 'nuke'. I know there is one more serving of apple crisp so I know what I will fix for dessert. BTW, really enjoyed watching "Ghost" last evening. It is fun to see some of the old movies again.
