Happy New Year to my wonderful O-Fam! Many best wishes for all of you this new year.

I did survive yesterday and while I did make it to our friend's house, I didn't make it to midnight. But I did get out, so that was nice. And now, on to getting ready for the snow. Lots of it so they say. I was debating whether I wanted to go food shopping today or tomorrow but I think I am going to go tomorrow morning, before work. I drove past the supermarket yesterday and I don't think I have ever seen the parking lot quite so packed. There will be nothing on the shelves today. Why oh why do I need to feed my family? Can't they just learn how to forage?? :rofl:

The portrait session was -- interesting. ha! Two teens and a 2 year old who did NOT want to leave his mama. We ended up taking a group shot of my kids, me, my brother and SIL and nephew. I was not planning on being in any pics but I don't think my mom is going to care. She'll love it, no matter how we look.

I am going to try to make some sense of my life today, and make up calenders of the new medication schedule for my kids so I don't screw it up totally.That in itself is going to be a project!!!! And I have to put away all of our ornaments since they are still on my table.

Jean- it is always such a pleasure to see you in the Ooos! Hope you made it to the denists and maybe took a nap while you were in the chair :)

Andrea, why is it that the little ones are always sick on the holidays? Hope he is feeling better! How was your party?

Trudy-- I had a good chuckle at the kissing of strangers and the germs! I think I quiet night in with some wine, a movie and YMG was perfect. What did you watch?

Nancy- your day sounds like the perfect end to 2013 too! Especially if the Devils won ;)

Sabine! I would be tired too after that day! Hope you get some down time in today.

When you tell a service person they can come at 8 in the morning- do not think they will call first and then stay in your knit jammies with cheetah print. I am sure his first impression was terrific. Yeah not so much. So cabinets are drier, but still need more drying, so we drilled more holes and they will be back tomorrow. We may have to try to remove more flooring- grrr. So if that happens I need to have things cleaned off the top. Guess I will stay home, scrap and sort and visit Anna another time. boo hoo. I did stay up till midnight, then woke up early, fell back asleep and boy did I have a bad dream-but head is clear now. Have a wonderful day! I plan on being a posting queen today!!
 
good morning... long time since I've been around... seems like there's never enough time to do all the things I love to do...

One of my resolutions for 2014 is to try to get back to scrapping. I've missed it and the O so much. But my life is crazy so it may be sporadic... I'm definitely going to try to carve out more time though. I think it's important for my sanity LOL

Well the party was a success and wore me totally out! Brent was asleep in the recliner in the man cave before midnight as always :lol: This year I didn't even bother him about a kiss and just let him rest. He got up at about ten after though and came inside. We had more people stay this year past midnight than usual so that made it more fun. Almost all the food was gone and considering how much I made that was an accomplishment all in itsself!

Jacob is feeling better today. He's just got a nasty head/chest cold so I started him on Mucinex and have antibiotics he can start in a couple days if it doesn't go away then. Wish his asthma, I just like to keep a close eye on him.

Hope everyone enjoyed their evening. Today I get to play clean up in the kitchen from all the crock pots and bowls and then I'm going to write up my 2014 Bucket List and do a page with it. I am going to pick up my new glasses today too :p
 
Happy New Year's day! I made it up to midnight and watched the ball drop in NYC from the comfort of my home. My NJ Devils defeated the Penguins 2-1 and I got to sit close and see them crash into the boards. Got some good photos so that was fun but my favorite player was crashed into the boards and left the game early in the first period so that was a bummer. But reports today are he was not injured to badly! I am now watching the warm ups for the Winter Classic outdoor hockey game. It is so cool it is snowing! Got out for my first walk of the year - temp was 30 and no wind so it was really comfortable.

Chris glad you had fun at your neighbors.

Laurie must have been a site with you in your jambes greeting the door! Sorry the news was not totally great with your flooding. Have fun scrapping!

Andrea so glad your party went well. My DH can fall asleep anywhere party or not! So glad your son just has a cold!
