The Loopy-O
CHEERY O
Well, I am still here in my house. We had to cancel the garage sale again. We had crazy-a$$ storms come through here last night and are supposed to be getting more today and tomorrow. Tornado warnings were in place for my mom's area last night. So my car is all packed and ready to go, but I am only going to bring the stuff down to my mom's basement for storage. The kids and I are going to visit with her and my father for lunch and then head back home.

yesterday did turn out better than the day before. Its couldn't have gotten much worse on a superficial level, for sure.

So that is it here for me, going to grab some more coffee, anyone like a cup :tea:?

Finish It Friday
I need to finish chewing this piece of bubble gum so I can wrap it around my head to keep if from further deterioration. The I will grab the dustpan and sweep up the bits of me that have fallen off. if I still have energy after that, I am going to book myself into a weekend stint to padded cell!! (complete with sedatives if you please!) :pound:

Hi Cinda! Are all kids back home? Bet the chaos is totally worth it! The Cheery-Os have some fun August Challenges being prepped as I speak (type).
Sangria- have a glass for me! :partywine

ITA with Phyllis- love the aA comment :)

Phyllis- he goes through this on occasion. He has been on abx since 2007, all sorts of other meds prior to that as he had been mis-diagnosed for many years. So combine that, to being housebound and not ever feeling better, it gets to him. I understand that, but at the same time, he forgets what happens when he does this. his brain is very inflamed from the bacteria and when they start to take over, it literally changes the way he thinks and perceives this, as well as changes his personality. Its pretty crazy.
Sadly- confronting when he is in the midst if this is the worst thing to do, we found that out the hard way. Its placate first, discuss when calm. But please- if you have any ideas or advice, feel free to pm me!! I am always open to suggestions. Even if I say at first, nope that wont work, I try to file them all away in my brain to be tried at a later time.

Hope that your weather is calmer today, it as been pretty wild here as well!

Hey-- do you have any hints on how to get tomatoes to ripen?? I have gobs f them green on the vines. And I know that they are all going to ripen, at once, while I am away.

Nana-- hoping that you have a calmer time too! And have a great time at the water park today. At least you know that those kids will sleep good tonight. Just be gentle with your back and body, we don't need you to have any more pain.

Trudy- you and DD must e getting so excited! How did Smarties under th epillow get to be a tradition? Sounds very sweet! (no pun!)
Did you enjoy your day of beauty? Pics!!!
I am going to have to check out that link too- TFS!

Laurie- how did you fare with the storm? Hope you had no damage.

Eva- hahaah! We just watched the Dr Who episode when he calls the TARDIS "Sexy" love your new sexy vacuum!

Does everyone know what makes a sexy vacuum even sexier??

A man using it!!!!

hugs to all and thank you thank thank you for making me smile!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well the water park was fun....three very very worn out children last night....the boys went to vacation bible school last night and fell asleep in the car on the way home....Jaiden put herself to bed at 8:30.....I call that a successful day :becky:

I hope to get all my housework done today if the kids let me...then tomorrow I want to take them to the "touch a truck" event....they do this every year...Firetrucks, ambulances, helipcopter, big farm equipment, old time cars...all in one place and the kids get to crawl in them and check them out..plus lots of games and fun stuff for them to do. Of course the scrapper in me is thinking this would make some really good photos too!! HAHA!!! always a motive  .... or an addiction :help:

Chris...well the stuff will be there already when you can do the sale..enjoy the time with your Mom and Dad today....we have been having those crazy storms most of the week!! It's like living near the coast again!!! I am glad your day was not as horrid as you had thought yesterday.... I actually LOL at your FIF!!!

great comment on the vacuuming, Chris!! that will NEVER happen in my house. did you see Fiona's (Applechick) Man Vacuuming page yesterday?? too funny! glad to hear that yesterday was better than the day before. i'm not gonna give you any advice except to say that that calm talking sounds like a good idea, especially if the kids get to be involved, too. if he's anything like my husband, he'd take what the kids said to him about how they feel to heart.

we had some more storms all during the day yesterday. pretty neat, if it weren't for the fact that it was 92 degrees at the same time. i basically hunkered down at home, made and canned salsa and talked to my friend in Scotland on Facetime for 2 hours. and watched a few episodes of "Inspector Lewis" on my iPad. today i'm driving an hour each way to visit my mom's sister. she wanted me to pick up some McDonald's for lunch and bring it over, so i'll have to figure out what i can eat there. probably another bunless burger and 10 french fries. yummer. i guess i could get a chicken salad and be good, but i'm really SO tired of salad.

have a great Friday. do what you love.

hi, Nana! sounds like you've found the secret to Peace at Home: wear them out!! honestly, i wanna be a kiddo in your house. (i promise i'll be good!) you think of so many fun things to do with them.

Soooo late this morning so will just say hey to you all and hope to get in her again after work. Early shift for today, so have to open the store with my buddy at work. Have a lovely Friday everyone

Hi again! I am testing out Chrome again since F is being a huge PITA!
So far so good, so maybe I need to make the switch permanent again.....

I don't want to make anyone jealous here...but my "man" (you know the sexy retired UPS man??) helps me with the vacuuming....I run it over the upstairs....main living is upstairs.....and he does the steps (cuz it hurts my back and arms horribly any more) and the den and hallway, all downstairs....but mind you, this only about once a month this all gets done..but still.....I  him for it!!!

Eva...thanks for starting the vacuum cleaner talk.....I am pretty obsessive about my floors being clean....and this is very entertaining

Trudy....sweetie...have a good day at work

Phylis....you can join right in sweetie....Chris and Clara already are my adopted "grandchildren"....before I took on the two I have custody of, we always tried to do fun stuff with all four of them...now that I have these two full time, it's harder..I don't feel like it most of the time..but they are only little once...so I push myself to go...... My main thing is I just want them to be happy and experience things....anyway....Clara likes to lick the spoon (Cameran, he likes to lick the bowl, and I bake a lot in the winter...https://ozone.oscraps.com/gallery/showphoto.php?photo=226991&title=my-kind-of-cooking&cat=all)...do you too?? I will have to use another one for you if you do!! :bounce:

Chris...I tried FF when my MSN was taken away from me , but then Chrome...I like it much better....faster and not as many issues for me!!

My MSN, which we had for 10 years, never gave me ANY problems!! EVER!!!!
