layout design questions....

cellomom

...loves her some "O"
sooooo are there any challenging type of designs I need to learn??

I just started out my 40s, so I'm on a rampage to LEARN new stuff!!!

So list here what you think would be some great styles or designs to learn...

anyone??? anyone??? Bueller??? Bueller???

Okay...I guess I was not specific enough in what I was asking...let me try again...

I'm looking for Layout design ideas...

FOR example...
White Space, Extractions, Rule of triangles

these are design ideas. Any others you can think of????

LOL!!..Poor Sally was getting ignored!!...NOT!! WE love you!! I glanced at this earlier and thought you meant actually DESIGNER ideas....definately out of my territory...what about fantasy layouts?? I am seeing so many of these...and wanting to dabble myself....

LOL!@ I was thinking along the lines of how stylish it would be to be able to live in a clutter free house (as a 40 something year old I'd love to learn the design secrets to this one) or how to design your kids so that they'd do the washing up and pick up their clothes without being asked (yeah, right!).

But not wanting to sound anarchically sarcastic (would I?!), I thought I'd better keep quiet.

i use to make a rule of thirds grid to scrap with. I would use straight stitching and make 9 squares and use it to come up with a layout.

ohhh girlies!! these are such great ideas!! :) thanks...i'm gonna get started!! I've got about 3 hours to scrap this afternoon!! :)

Hmmmmm why not try one of those futuristic extracted layouts everyone is doing? It's totally out of the box. :)

hmmmm.....Sally I go by.....

extraction
masks
frames
cluster
blend
full pager

...... think that about covers it for me

oooh yeah, the fantasy/extractions ones are so cool- way out of my "zone" but I would love to try!

Was out of my "zone" too Chris.

But you should try it ... loads of fun and quite addictive. And you twist it to suit yourself. Being on NatashaNaSt's Ct here is such an inspiration to step outside my box and try these new things.

Get yourself a fantasy kit Chris and give it a go!

How about realism mixed with a touch of fantasy? For example, some of Hollie's realistic elements, but a tiny extracted person perched on the fridge....or something like that. =)
