Art Journaling ~ Courage is Contagious!
Are there days when you just don’t feel like you have it in you to keep going? I know I have, and on those days, I have to put my big girl panties on, pull my bootstraps up, and find my courage. I think that is one of the reasons that I like this theme for the month! Courage is something that we all have, but sometimes we have to risk failing to access it! This month is making me think of all the obstacles and hurts I’ve had to over come in the past. It’s not a bad thing – in fact I think it’s very GOOD thing to reflect back on the past and cement the lessons you learned from it.
This week, Cheryl has put her personal perspective on Courage. Here is her page and her explanation of what it represents to her:
Created for the July Art Journaling Challenge Week 2. Our word prompt for July is COURAGE. I was inspired by one of the quotes I found:
“You must learn to be strong in the dark as well as in the day, else you will always be only half brave.” ~ George MacDonald
This quote, about being strong in the dark, really hit home for me. I don’t do very well at night – when I’m alone. That’s when the emptiness and the sadness sneaks in.
I used Black Water by Crafty Button Designs to create my blended background. The rest of my page was created with Solace by mixed media by erin.
