Who is doing P365 or a P52 this year?

Are any of you doing on the the year long challenges or a photo a day or week?

If you are, are you part of a group?

Every year, around this time, I want to get working on some sort of project. I usually get to March before I stop. Then around May, I try it again, only to stop by June. But I have been seeing all of the groups forming on Facebook, Flickr and there is even something here, that Sue Cummings is posting.

I am not sure if I should resist or if I should give it yet another shot.

What tips would you have for someone who is a chronic "quitter" of these things?

I am doing it....but only on my itouch Chris! There are fab apps that make it easy and fun!

you have an app for that?? ;)

I 'inherited" MIL's old iphone to use as an ipod since mine is dying on me. Can you link me up with an app??

I've an app called Project 365 which allows me to capture photos & put them in a calendar month. Quite fun! I've even scrapped them.

Audrey, is it a free or paid app?
I'm going to look for that one :D I like the 365 idea (next year it will be 366 LOL ) but I know myself, and it won't be with my nikon d60.
But I think I can do it with my iPad. Not really good quality pictures, but it's the idea that counts...right?

no apps for droid that I could find-I plan on trying it this year. Not sure how but perhaps will post to facebook with it's own album

I did P365 for the first time this year and loved it, will definitely do it again.

I do tend to be pretty disciplined...make sure I always have my iPhone or for longer and deliberate trips/gatherings, I carry my camera (Olympus Stylus, got the newest one for Christmas!). If I am home, I have my DSLR always handy.

I did notice I sometimes am repetitive, taking many pics of my view, my golf course, my daughter, but that's ok, since that's what I am doing.

The other thing I did mid-year was join Katrina Kennedy's Capture Your 365 site. She makes monthly prompt lists that are really good and fun, and will even send you a daily (or weekly, or none) email reminder with her photo of the day. There is also a forum to participate in but I don't do that.

I also printed every photo in 4x6 format (get lots of free print credits from Shutterfly and Snapfish), scrapped many of the photos individually, and made weekly layouts of single or double pages.

While I still need to finish, I have 2 volumes (I used DCWV 12x12 ring binders with 4x6 photo sleeve pages and 12x12 page protectors) of all these products documenting the year, and I love it!

What motivates me is my daughter. I believe some day her and her children will cherish these memories. :-)

I have never made it till March Chris!!

but I can always try again! maybe not overthink the pictures to much?
think of it as just a reminder of the day, not so much a perfect shot!

I use this as my camera now....it's fabulous!

It's fun to do stuff like this in a couple of minutes....

I'm going to give the 365 (6) a go this year . I've just bought those lovely 365 templates by Joey Lynn and Wild Blueberry Ink after admiring everyones books for years.

I don't have a phone with camera so it will just be my trusted samsung and yes it will be pictures of everyday life

I have this idea of taking a photo of the dinner every day. We'll see. I did the 52 inspirations this year - I've made about 50% of them. I have a tendency to forget to take a photo every day, but if I decide to take photo of the same thing every day, I'm hoping it will become a routine. Not much hope though LOL

Another thing I've seen is the 12 idea: take a photo on the 12th of every month during 2012.

Helen, I looked at the one you posted vs the free on, I think i am going to buy the one you use. Gary got me a GC for itunes, but I don't ever use them, so I was going to put it away as a future gift to someone. But maybe I need to keep that gift for myself? :)

i used biografitti's 365 set for this past year. it was easy to put together and didn't give me that "overwhelmed" feeling. i actually finished it! i have to go back and add papers and doodads, but I MADE IT. it's perfect for someone like me who isn't into photography. it'll have to be printed at 12x12 because stuff is small, but i am so proud that i actually finished this!

i think i will do it again for 2012, as well as try to do a"52 stories" book for 2012. this concept is the brilliant idea of Adryane, a fellow member of Anna Aspnes' CT. just a random single story each week for posterity. a memory. an observation.

Oh, I had forgotten about Biograffiti's templates - they will be great for my dinner idea! I bought her store so I have all her templates :)

WOW! I'm super-impressed with photos Helen and Audrey saw your layout too

Now all I need is an IPhone - we are in the dark ages - have an droid ? phone which takes photos BUT neither one of us knows how to use it? I simply must learn but then the app won't work eh? The only feature we use is the phone duh.

What about with an IPad 2? I need a good excuse to buy the new one :bounce:

My biggest problem is I don't get out much taking photos of the house can get rather boring

On the other hand I get the pleasure of looking at your efforts!

love Biograffiti's templates the 365 and other albums.
Will have to check out Joey Lynn's too - not that I'm a template addict or anything
