Which one for Mother's Day?

:confused: Ok girls...for Mother's Day I get a new camera. I have it narrowed down to two: The Nikon Coolpix P100 or the Canon SX20. :photo: I'm leaning toward the Canon because I've experienced the SX10 and I love Canons...and it powers with AAs. Anyone have anymore advice??

have you gone to the store to try each one out- you know to find out which ones buttons make sense to you for ease of taking a :photo:
 
They are really, really similar.

Nikon Pros - Lots of cool features and modes. 26X zoom (as compared to 20), 9 point focus, dual stabilization

Canon Pros - Plenty of features and modes...though maybe not as much as the Nikon - it's more than I've got now, runs on AA batteries, 20x zoom (which is great compared to the 4x I've had for years), place for an external flash, tilt and swivel screen, it's a Canon which I've always had good luck with and my printer is a Canon, I know people who have one and really like it, $10 cheaper....
 
I voted Nikon becaude I have a D40 and love it!
But I agree, best is to hold and shoot both in your hand and go with your flow ;)
