I do too - it's just that for a while I felt like it had disappeared.I think it's like everything else, they have to "recycle" things every so many years. I LOVE town paper, BTW.
Me too!! One thing I desperately want in many kits are straight stitches and staples, but so few actually make them anymore!Yes, like Cindy I have always loved using torn bits of paper and over the years they have become more 'realistic' looking if you know what I mean. and I am always looking for staples or stitches, anything to 'hold up' those bits of paper I use!!!!
Oh me neither - but we went REALLY artsy and then are now coming back to more traditional scrapping and pocket scrapping is becoming HUGE again!I'm a big torn paper person. It was never out of style with me. lol
I have never been able to figure out how to use binder clips and hinges well! LOLI also love torn paper, string, staples, clasps, binder clips and hinges!
Ha ha - I hear you!! For a while I was REALLY flowery but now a well placed flower or two in a cluster is enough. I only have a daughter, so I don't do dirt and gears much. Maybe I should challenge myself!I love the "old days". I love things like hardware (staples, brads, buttons), and natural elements like branches and lace and twigs. I'm not a big fan of the kits that are mostly flowers though. I have a lot of pages that are more masculine. Bring on the gears and dirt!
Me neither, Susie! I just added a clip and a hinge to a recent layout and ended up removing both. I just can't make them look right. Maybe if I did more masculine layouts, I could get them to work.I have never been able to figure out how to use binder clips and hinges well! LOL
Did you ever use Strings and Things by (I forgot her first name) Braxton? I loved her strings!!strings have always been a got to for me. Strings and buttons.
Strings and Things sounds so familiar. I remember a Natalie Braxton, who used to be at The Lilypad.Did you ever use Strings and Things by (I forgot her first name) Braxton? I loved her strings!!

My very first Digi-kit was Shabby Princess. I lived off of her free kits!! My friend Jenn and I used to scrap online together and SP was always the kits. Jenn eventually became a designer and I think SP was a big influence. She's Shabby Miss Jenn. This is going way back, but, I loved designs by Shabby Princess, Kristie David. Does anyone know what happened to her? I checked her blog and the last entry was in 2010.
Oh gosh, I loved her free kits too. I'll have to look up Shabby Miss Jenn. I designed until my husband passed unexpectedly in 2008, and I was totally out of it for a couple of years afterwards, and then simply couldn't get my mojo going again, so I resigned around 2010. When I was able to at least scrap again, I looked for Shabby Princess but couldn't find her so I figured she must have resigned during my absence. My very first Digi-kit was Shabby Princess.
