Do you also suffer a lot from slugs and snails in your garden ?

Had a major slug infestation last year, and again this year despite being very dry last month.
Every day I go snail hunting, and it kind of goes against my principles because I think it's sad that I have to catch those critters. Sometimes I take them to the forest to release them there.
Last weekend I found more than 60 snails in 1 bush !
They lay about 300 eggs a year; the young snails that hatch from them start mating after only 3 months. And because snails are hermaphroditic ... it goes fast !

I tend not to get too many in my garden. The occasional ones I get are easily moved to the side of my yard.

Funny story that my family still teases me about:
One morning, I was looking at the garden and saw what I thought were about 20-30 teeny baby snails. I called the kids to check it out. How cool!
They looked at me like I had lost my dang mind.
It wasn't a bunch of baby snail shells. It was a bunch of small stones. Not very cool at all. :oops2:

Good thing you haven't seen so many yet, but snails are back quicker than you think :eek3:
