Share some good news

I am 100% giving credit for this thread to our sweet @faerywings. For those of you who really don't know Chris, you should! She is one of the sweetest and kindest people I know. She is also the person who makes sure that the Daily O's are started every day and we would love to have you join us there!

But none of that is really the purpose of this post. Today @faerywings started her post by asking us to share some good news, no matter big or small! Can I just tell you that it really framed up my whole morning by doing that?

So tell us, what good thing has happened to you recently?

My hockey team (the Edmonton Oilers) clinched a playoff spot last night, and Hubby and I got to be at the game! After him being so ill for the lat 6 months it was touch and go whether we would be able to attend or if he wouldn't feel up to it. So while the team clinching is great - the fact that he's feeling well enough to do things is the real good news!

Best news ever Trina. You deserved that playoff clinch to celebrate the fact that your husband is on the mend.

My granddaughter, Ava, came for a visit and brought her two lab puppies. It's always like a breath of fresh air when she comes to visit. The dogs (including mine) "cornered" something on the back patio and Ava moved the trash cans and found a tiny baby chipmunk hiding from the dogs. She "rescued" it and set it free. Last we saw it, it was scampering to freedom.

This is so sweet! And there is a lot of happiness in this post...Ava, the puppies and the baby chipmunk living for another day! Thanks for sharing.

Good morning. What is my good news today? Well the stress of planning for Europe has now been overridden with the joy and excitement. Because this time next week, I will be wandering the streets of Amsterdam. Definitely good news!

th

(I am not that nice, I just talk and talk and talk ..... hahaha!)

I love being able to share good news and was so darn proud of my niece who got accepted into vet school. That is what started my idea to share more good news with each other.

Let me see if I have any other good news... The people that read the Daily Ooos know this already but my mom is finally ready to get a Pacemaker!! She has been dragging her feet for three years so this is *big.* I am taking her to the Dr on Thursday to get the surgery scheduled. *happy dances*

My good news is that I've not got job scheduled til August. A day or two every week, except for 2 1/2 week during Urban's vacation, so we can be able to maybe go somewhere. I like the job & they seem to like me ... with one exception that I've mention before in the daily Ooos, but she's quitting her job soon.

After all our family has been through, it is like a breath of fresh air to wake up every day here in Kamloops, living our new life here. I have a friend who lives here who loves photo walks as much as I do. Yesterday she took me to a local pond that gets a lot of water fowl and birds, then we went to a remote lake that was beautiful, and we traveled a few miles down a remote country road, coming across bluebirds in their nesting home. I love having a friend who can go out on photo walks with me.
