Revisiting Old Layouts???

Day 10 challenge is to redo a layout... which I am definitely going to participate in... which got me thinking... how often - if ever - DO you revisit your old layouts? And why?

I can't say it would be a regualr occurence for me, but I've been known to redo a layout or two - usually because it was a challenge layout - where I had to use a certain kit or scrap in a certain style and I feel the page doesn't fit into my albums - because I DO scrap for albums.. eventually...

The layouts I'm not happy with tend to be those using bold colors, excessive clustering or featuring tons of white space... none of that is my style and if I like the page - in principle - I get a hankering to 'fix' it. What about you?

I tag the layouts that I know I want to print, but I rarely delete a layout. I guess I frequently look back at my old ones. They're almost all in my Google files, too, so I have a lot of really old layouts - even pictures of my paper layouts.

I've done a series on the houses where my parents lived in the 1930s and they weren't too good. I've redone some but they all need it. I've also redone other family history LOs for the same reason.

Part of my adhd is that I forget what I've done the minute I've done it. Lol I'm sure I've scrapped the same photos many times, even though the intention wasn't to redo a layout.

I have a folder on my computer where I save a copy of all the Web sized layouts. The plan is to find some kind of screen (small tv or something) and then put the layouts on a memory stick or something and then use it as a "painting". But it never happens cuz I'm not sure how to do it.

I do keep my old LOs including the PSD files... usually in the folder that has the kit/collection or in the challenge folder. Most of them are labeled with kit/designer name so I have that info. Occasionally, I remember using a photo but can't locate it in the computer. I look in the galleries or on FB to find the LO so I can locate the PSD file on the computer. Then, I can move the photo to another LO and use it.

Also, it is fun to look back at the earlier LOs I made in the galleries and see how far my skills have progressed... Sometimes I see a new kit/collection that calls out for a photo that I have used many times before. As I do CT work, I do re-use photos many times and want to make sure I am not making the LOs look the same.

I don't revisit layouts often, but I do sometimes scrap the same picture more than once ... sometimes by accident, sometimes on purpose lol I don't scrap in order, just as I feel inspired, so there's no rhyme or reason to what I scrap next.

I go back to see which ones really embarrass me now and need to be redone and which photos I have already used but need a re-do for a different album or family member. Lots of reasons. Sometimes it's just to enjoy them!
