I am currently running PSE 6 on a Mac with 10.8 I am having a few crashing issues. Not enough for me to cave yet, but enough to be a bit of a frustration. That's what you get when you run five versions back. LOL

I have heard that PSE 11 is really hard to adjust to and some people aren't thrilled with the changes. I can get a newer version of PSE than I have on eBay for $30 or less. So my question is what version should I go to? 10? 9? Anyone have any clue?
 
Not on a mac, but I have not had a problem with the change from 10 to 11 and I know we have a thread on how to make 11 look/act like 10- Irene wrote it up.
 
I have CS6 on my Mac, but have never liked using PSE so sorry I can't be of much help, you really should try the CS6 you would love it!!
 
I would be careful buying it on ebay :( There's posts all the time in other forums about people buying PSE/CS on ebay and getting taken.
 
I will Meg thanks. I bought my first copy of PSE on eBay and it worked. Not that I couldn't hit a bad one, but I am really careful with who I buy from and check their feedback.
 
I'm running PSE8 Mac and love it. I think it's the last version to use Bridge (which I also love) and I deliberately haven't upgraded further because I don't want to switch over to Organiser.

I upgarded from V4 to V8 and really the learning curve was not huge - the principles remain the same, but there were a whole load of nice new tricks - like a really awesome photomerge process.

Mind you, with V8 not be anywhere near current version, I guess this really isn't much help to you.
 
It's good info to consider Selena! I think even going to 8 would make it more stable for me. I was considering more between 9 and 10, but 8 would probably be ok too. I just want a bit more stability for cheap! LOL
