problem posting in the gallery

i have tried to upload a file that is is less than 650 kb and each time it says it exceed the file size limit. any suggestions?

Hi Stacey, gallery LO's need to be less than 250 kb.
I resize my pages at 600x600 with a dpi (ppi? I always get them mixed up LOL) at 72.
