Hey Everyone!

It’s Saturday……………yep, Saturday and time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes.

Each Saturday the AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Choose ONE idea from the page to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. There is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay. Be inspired and create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery. Upload your page by Friday4.4.14 by NOON EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift ’ and one lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop. The winner will be posted each Friday here in the forum.

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

This week the Anna team selected this amazingly ARTsyCool gallery page by the very sweet and oh so faithful to the AnnaLift challenge, ang!! I adore that about ang and I adore this fabulous AnnaLift inspiration!!

‘I used waterlogue, snowdaze and mobile monet as far as I can remember. I keep forgetting to write down what I use!!’………………..we understand completely!!:)

This week’s AnnaLift will inspire all of us in some way. Maybe you will choose:
-To try a new and cool app on your photo. Be sure to share it with us too!! You know we ‘gotta have it’ too!!
-Try a uniqiue crop on your photo to tell your story and create ART…………..ang used stocking………..BRILLANT!
-Play and brush and transfer and blend and layer and play some more!
-Break all the rules you ever thought existed about creating!
-Whatever inspires you to create from ang’s ‘WONDERFUL’ inspiration page.

I did wonder how Ang got that effect on the photo, thanks for revealing it.

all i need is Oscraps, cOffee, chOcOlate & tOfu
Well, I never buy apps, so I decided to alter the photo in PSE. The plan was to use the water color filter, but it didn't look good.

Here's what I did:
Followed the steps in the tutorial in Anna's newsletter, then duplicated the layer
again. Changed the top layer by using the artistic filter Colored pencil and lowered
the opacity to 27% (where it looked best). Merged layers.

Used the brushes in the palette to make a photo mask (merged a bunch together in
a shape I liked). Duplicated the photo on the layout, merged one to the photo mask,
erased around the cat on the other. Put the photo mask layer on top of the other,
changed the blend mode to Linear burn on both, but lowered the opacity on the
bottom layer to 60%. Then decorated the layout.

I have been away for the weekend and what a surprise to find that my page was the Anna Lift. Thank you so much. What a thrill!!

Awesome page to lift! Thanks for the challenge Donna. I used Adobe Lightroom (I downloaded it when I signed up for the Creative Cloud but have never used it!) and used a preset called Bleach Bypass on this photo of our nephew from the 70's. I love how it softened the colors.
