It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 07.20.18 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.

HOW IT WORKS: Each Saturday the AnnaTeam posts one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.

Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

THIS WEEK WE ARE LIFTING:

Stunning and sophisticated perfectly describes this week’s lift. A stylized photo of the eternal glam girl Marilyn captures your attention and once again makes you marvel at her everlasting fame. The soft pink tones in the background paper match the tones in that famous face while the darker colors behind add depth and dimension. And the red of her lipstick and the red stain below create visual tension that again accents her beauty. The layers of textures, stains, dots and squiggles not only flawlessly frame the pretty picture but also add needed contrast. Designing a clean “white space” layout with only a single picture is just one of the many creative tricks that this very talented artist has in her artistic repertoire. Her homage to this beauty icon is essentially as fabulous as Marilyn herself.

IDEAS TO INSPIRE: Use ONE or MORE of the following in your AnnaLift layout.
• Profile an interesting person—an actor, an artist, your brother, your best friend, etc.
• Use a soft pastel color scheme with bold accents of color.
• Leave lots of white space in your layout or add a larger border around your art.
• Create a layered frame or use a mat for your photo.
• Include a sentence explaining why this person is interesting to you.
• Incorporate artstrokes, squiggles, dots, buttons or brads as accent around your frame.

Loved cocodoou's inspiration, but I went the quirky route instead. Sometimes my inner artsy girl just goes wild.
