Hey Everyone!

It’s Friday and time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes.

Each Friday the AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Choose ONE idea from the page to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. There is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay. Be inspired and create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery. Upload your page by Thursday 6.21.12 by NOON EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift ’ and one lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5 GiftKard to Anna’s shop. The winner will be posted each Thursday here in the forum.

This week the AnnaTeam found this beauty roaming in the gallery, ‘Run Free’ by ang. Amazing page and Ang, hope you plan to frame this one for your wall!

Ang created such emotion and drama in her stunning black and white work of ART.
-the use of a single photo as the focus of the page
-a two word title with even a free flow feel to the font
-plenty of rich textures in her selection of paperie, brushes, and wordtransfers
-the feel of energy and movement with all that cool brushwork
-the subtle framing of the horse with a portion of the stitched overlay perfectly placed
-a gorgeous work of ART that flows with dramatic power and beauty

Check out Ang’s ‘Run Free’ and let your imagination ‘Run Free’ and see what you are inspired to create. We can’t wait to see your page in the gallery this week!

What a fabulous and stirring inspiration for this lift! And already such fine responses. Have to come up with something special for it.

Here's my lift.

I did not take this photo. It is a photo from National Geographic that I thought would be perfect for this challenge. It was originally just a colour photo of the bird. I used a technique that was described in the July/August 2009 issue of the magazine "Adobe Photoshop Elements Techniques". If you have that issue, the article is entitled "Sketching Magic" and it can be found on pages 17-21.

This was a little tough for me since I don't do much with monochrome, but I loved the overall composition, the framing stitches, the text, the texture, and I wanted to scrap this picture :)

Experience Summer

My attempt here, I hope some author licenses are permitted. I may need to try this once again, to see if I could achieve the single B&W tones. Ann
