It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 11.29.18 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.

HOW IT WORKS: Each Saturday the AnnaTeam posts one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.

Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

Striking and sentimental absolutely describes this week’s lift. A bright photo of a young lad gently petting his beloved pet set against a muted grey background instantly draws you into the design. Focal art centered in the middle of the layout creates maxim visual impact while the bright pop of the bright blue of the boy’s jeans in the black and white picture adds depth and dimension. Additional spots of varying shades of blue effectively move your eye across the horizontal line of the photo. Perfectly complimenting the charming scene is elements such a heart and brushed cat accenting the love shared between the boy and his pet. Designing a clean and balanced white space layout with artsy flair showcases the many talents of this very skilled artist.

IDEAS TO INSPIRE: Use ONE or MORE of the following in your AnnaLift layout.
• Design a “white space” layout or add a large border around your focal art.
• Center a photo or illustration in the middle of your design.
• Include a black and white photo/illustration and selectively “colorize” a section or two.
• Use a neutral color palette of white, grey, or beige.
• Incorporate a descriptive sentence or two.
• Accent with brushwork, elements that coordinate with your theme.

Adore the inspiration design. This bird is from my 2nd brood of barn swallows that nested near my door this summer. The last one came into my home for a goodbye visit. I choose this photo because it had a neutral backdrop and it was already selectively colored with the bird.
