It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 09.20.19 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.
HOW IT WORKS: Each Saturday the AnnaTeam posts one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.
Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!
Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

THIS WEEK WE ARE LIFTING:
A Rainy Day by marleen
Clean* yet clever perfectly describes this week’s lift. An artsy-sketchy design of a boat moored at the edge of lake immediately grabs your attention; but this art is more than attractive, it’s also a clever twist on a “traditional” white space design. Usually, a white space layout has the focal art centered in the middle of the page framed with a large surrounding “white” border. But the ingenious part of this art is that the white space itself is part of the design instead of framing the focal art. And another creative touch is the sketchy pencil effect that essentially mimics pouring rain. The cool color tones, the black inky brushwork, and the grey clouds continue the rainy theme, while the art strokes at the bottom hints at a shoreline. This extremely talented artist has once again shared her artistic vision and showcased her vast technical skills with us—and I’m always so delighted when she does.
*Clean in advertising terms mean uncluttered. A ‘white space” ad is considered “clean.”

IDEAS TO INSPIRE: Use ONE or MORE of the following in your AnnaLift layout.
• Design a horizontal layout that only covers one-third of the page.
• Transform a photo or illustration by removing part of it.
• Focus on water like a beach, boats or a lake scene.
• Try an effect on your photo like a sketch or pencil or use a filter.
• Use a color palette that has cool tones, pops of color and black accents
• Use artstrokes in an unusual way, like creating a baseline.
