Hello aArtists!

It’s time for another challenge from Anna Aspnes. The AnnaTeam selects one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Be inspired, create your own ‘AnnaLift,’ upload your page to the Anna gallery and include it here in this forum thread. Upload your page by Friday 08.09.19 by 8:00 pm EST with the title, ‘AnnaLift. ’ One lucky participant will be randomly selected to win a $5.00 GiftKard to Anna’s shop.

HOW IT WORKS: Each Saturday the AnnaTeam posts one creative page from the Anna gallery as the weekly ‘AnnaLift.’ Check out the inspiration page and decide what speaks to you. Is it the design, the color, the wordART, or maybe the photo? Then enjoy artfully playing—there is no right or wrong way to ArtPlay.

Choose ONE idea to lift or choose it ALL and lift it completely. Be inspired, create your ‘AnnaLift’ and then upload your page to the Anna gallery, plus include it here in this forum thread. It would be great if you could link back to your page in the gallery too!

Anna’s products mix well with so many kits/designers and Anna welcomes you to include these with your Anna Products on your AnnaLift page.

THIS WEEK WE ARE LIFTING:




The Village by nancyr

Informative and interesting perfectly describes this week’s lift. Across the entire page, a series of photos provide a visual snapshot of a unique native village in Alaska. A variety of pictures depicting the landscape, the inhabitants and their daily activities piqué your interest while the brown background in the middle photos move your eyes along the layout. The brown coloring of the buildings in the nearby large focal photo provides a sense of artistic tension with the middle group of pictures. An unusual frame using a textured transfer adds the perfect amount of dimension. The neutral beige background lets the photos be the stars of the layout. Columns of journaling explain the history of the village and its interesting attractions. This prodigious photographer and accomplished artist has taken us along on her Alaskan adventure, it’s like traveling with your own personal tour guide into the wilds of Alaska but at such a reasonable rate, free!

IDEAS TO INSPIRE: Use ONE or MORE of the following in your AnnaLift layout.
• Showcase your vacation photos—a town you visited, a tourist attraction, a family event—anything you did on your holiday.
• Use a multi-frame format or frame one or more photos. Try blending one and framing another.
• Make your photos the “stars” of your design; use a neutral palette for the background.
• Frame or outline one of your photos with a transfer.
• Include journaling in your layout, short or long, add some descriptive text.
• Add accents like coordinate with your photos like twigs for an outdoor landscape.
• Include a title or use wordART in your layout
