Need opinions

Ok...ok....I'm a huge slacker. I've only compiled my 52 Inspirations about halfway through. And I started working on it today and was going through my pictures.

I can't decide if I should do a picture from each week throughout the year and show the progression of the year....or.....

ignore the order of the pictures and pick pictures that go with the theme of the inspiration page.

What's everyone else doing? What do you think? I want to make this into a book when I'm done. I keep going back and forth and can't decide. I need more help.

well I did P365 (up to just over 200 so far) so that is just random shots. But it's kinda fun to do that (did you do the status update page on FB?)

Could you pick pictures from each week that go with the theme? Kill two birds with one stone?

I was finding that I didn't necessarily have pictures from every week that went with the theme. Sometimes, I had much better pictures to fit the theme from other events. So that's where I wavered again. Pictures in order or pics to really fit the theme? We have an ice storm/blizzard headed our way, so I probably will have plenty 'o time to work on this. =)

I had planned on doing 365, but very, very early on I knew I wouldn't be able to do that. So I focused on 52. I didn't do too bad, though there are a few weeks where the shots are slim pickins. =)

I did do the FB status thing...that was funny. I'm also working on a different version of that compiling all my status updates. But it's slow going and I may give up. =) hee hee.

Sara, I'm impressed that you made it with 52. I started with 365 but no way was that going to happen!

I'd go with pics to match the themes! And good luck surviving the snow and ice. We're on the line that separates the snow and rain. They are predicting thunder storms tonight. That will go nice with all of the snow we have on the ground!

I'm a slacker too :)
But so far I've been using each week's inspiration as a 'theme' using everything from heritage to 2009 photos depending on on the inspiration....

But I don't have that many photos (believe it or not) mainly scanned heritage and some recent but not hundreds...

I envy you and Helen - am already making a list of H's that I would like to use :)

Ok I'm a relative beginner her what is FB and showing my ignorance what do you mean by "compiled my 52 inspirations" or is this all re doing P365

Sorry to butt in when I really am not helping much but I am interested

Sara hope you're prepared and have lots of goodies stashed for blizzards!

Jacqueline - who thinks she has SAD disease and who wishes she was in sunny Australia!

I'd definitely go with photos that fit the theme - any old order will do. I don't know about you, but the photo/story/elements have to speak to me to make me want to scrap them. If I start scrapping a LO that isn't speaking to me, it never works.

Good luck with the 52 and the blizzards, Sara.

Helen - next plane out of here, I'm on my way......shame everything's grounded in the UK (and we have like 1.5" of snow!).

Oh Helen...don't brag. =)

We had the rain that Linda talked about that turned into freezing rain and ice. It was supposed to have moved into snow overnight, but right now (8 a.m.) it doesn't look like it is. However, many people have changed their holiday plans because it's not supposed to be any better tomorrow.

Jacqueline - We tend to talk in a secret language sometimes don't we? =) FB = Facebook. There was an app on Facebook the other day where it would put together some of your statuses from throughout the year and make it into what looked like a scrapbook layout. 52 Inspirations is a subscription that you can buy here at Oscraps. Each week you receive a piece of word art, a paper, and maybe an element or two. That way you get something every week all year long. P365 is something a lot of people started last year where you would take a photo a day all year long. Then you would scrap, blog, journal, or something about the pictures. I'm not totally sure who started the P365 thing, but a lot of scrappers got on board with it. I'm not disciplined enough to remember to take a picture once a day! =)

Ok...I think I will probably go with theme then. It will be easier that way too. I don't have to match up pics from each week then.

The wind is sure blowing here. And my friend "The Weather Channel" tells me that by this afternoon we will have the snow. So I'm ready to hunker down and scrap. We might not go out to my dh's grandparents farm tonight like planned. We shall see.... Merry Christmas Eve everyone!

Thanks for the info Sara makes sense FB = facebook.

I subscribed to 52 weeks last year and have been thrilled with the goodies and the inspirations provided - I do hope they do it again - having the three designers provided unique input and it was never stale.

I'll be first in line for 2010. Great value!! aside from inspiration.

Well it's 10 am her on west coast Canada - about 5 AM where Helen is - wonder if she's up yet.
We have no snow and so far no rain I don't look more than 2 days ahead:

Happy Christmas all - enjoy your day with family and friends and all of us here at the "O"
hugs
Jacqueline
