Hello everyone , I hope you are ready for another interesting challenge. This time let’s explore the use of the COLOR blend mode to enhance a Black & White image or element using Magic Lights from NBK Designs

For this challenge a Black & White image works best, so if you have a favorite image to use and it is a color image just change it to Monotone before you start your page.

You can also add some B&W stamps as well as some B&W Word Art.
Here is a sample using an old family photo and some Magic Lights from NBK Designs

This is how my layers look. I have grouped all the layers and changed the group to “Color” blend mode

If your version of Photoshop or Elements doesn’t have the Grouping facility you can change each Magic Lights layer to the “Color” blend mode.
I have also added a Gradient Overlay (Sepia Blue 2) which is a default gradient from the Photographic Toning range. But the gradient is optional.

Here's one I made a few years ago using the Color Blend Mode with colors from the color picker

And here is one from CT Anne, using Magic Lights, papers and other elements from the Alessio collection.

I hope you have fun using the Color Blend Mode with Magic Lights and use it often in your Scrap Pages

Let me ask a question, because I often misunderstood some rules! Do we have necessary to use black and white photo or just dark is OK? Because I have a night scene whit some colors on it.

Yes Felis, you can use a dark image that has some colour like the boat harbour page that Anne has made, it just stands out better on B&W but try your image anyway

Thank you! I used Color Blend on multiple layers of magic lights, but I used Color Dodge on the one with the rays.
