If you had a weekend in Germany, where would you go?

My daughter is going to Germany to study for 6 weeks. They are going to Munich and the North Sea. She will be going to classes in Osnabruck. They have one weekend free to do whatever they want.

If it were you, where would you go? (I've never been to Germany so I'm not much help.)

I think they could visit Berlin, I was only 2 times there with my son.

Thanks @AnjaPelzer . I forgot, they are going to Berlin one of the planned weekends. My husband is so jealous...he has always wanted to go to Berlin!
