If you had a lot of money, what are the things you would want to do with it?

I mean, I sometimes wonder about this. I don't really have to have a million or so. I don't think I would know how to spent that. But lets say, you have just enough money to make two or three of your dreams come true. Which dreams are on the top of your list?

I'm positive I would pay off the mortgage of my house first. Boring isn't it?
But the thought of never having to worry about paying for my house ever again, and at the same time having so much more money to spent every month, it is so appealing!
And then I would make my second dream come true. Vacation in England. I so love to go to that country. It's nature, it's history, and even it's Kings and Queens. I want to travel through England for weeks and weeks, and learn all there is to learn about that country.
And when I'm finally done traveling through England, I want to sell my house and buy a little farmhouse. I could even do that in England. And I would have a few cows, some goats, lots of chickens, a dog and a few cats and maybe, just maybe some :sheep1.
I guess I do need that million :biggrin:

What would you do with a lot of money?

The first thing I would do is retire! I would buy a little farm too! I wouldn't fill it up with a lot of animals, maybe just some chickens, but I would like an acre or two, preferably on a body of water as well so I could have a little beach of my own.

I would travel a bit too, but as I'm a bit of a homebody, it wouldn't be my main goal.

take a road trip through Europe? no need for camping, I could pick the best hotels!
we would love a new car for that!
just spend a lot of cash on things I don't need but just love to have.

well, I certainly need a million, or maybe more hahaha. Definitely make a world trip, I bought a small house with a lot of forests and ponds, so that I had many animals in my backyard, and then some money for my family and for the charity to distribute (for children and animals)

Depending on how much money I would have-- a million wouldn't get me all that much in a new house in New Jersey if I wanted any left over, especially if I want lots of property-
First, I would pay off my mortgage and pay off my kids' college tuition/loans. After that, I would fix up this house, sell it and buy something with a bigger kitchen and a garage. That would make me and my husband very happy.
Next step would be to pay off our medical bills. And then- if there was anything left over, I would dream about being able to go on vacation with Gary at some point. I guess we would have to focus on getting him "healthy" enough to go somewhere so it might end up staying in the Dream Stage for a long time, but you never know.
